I'm confused with that one ? ? ? The oil is in a reservoir and a computer controls the amount that is added to the mixture for the engine.? They are ( were ) set for standard oil as default but could have a software upgrade to use " posh " oil. This costs more but uses much less. I have no idea why this would affect your engine but I suppose an E-Tec engineer could figure it out. Sam Cobb at Golden arrow in Poole near RNLI is a bit of an expert in these things and has all the latest software. They are not cheap though ! Jim

I can only guess that you've never machined Stainless steel Steve ? You need to run very slowly, Plenty of coolant, Don't allow the tools to dwell as it work hardens the stainless. All not easy for a DIY er not prepared for it. Jim
