As today was dry I decided to start clearing the garage and sheds. A couple of items if anyone is interested. Rule Bilge Pump, 12v 200 gallons per hour, heavy duty with 4 metres of hose Β£25 Anchor, 5-6 metres of 8mm chain and approx 90 metres of 12 mm rope complete with Buff for Alderney retrieval. Anchor weighs approx 8kgs. Box is very brittle so of little use to stow it. Ideal set up. Β£50. SOLD. PM if interested. Lots more as I clear some room, even found a couple of push bikes under all the fishing rods!, π³π³

If it was me I would use Acetone and plenty of rags, keeps it controlled and ready to reseal new transducers in. Plenty of fresh air or mask as you do it. Not to sure if it would take off Copperbot.

I have one of these in my loft, as Martin said you could spend a fortune on them. One thing was you could get a signal anywhere in the Channel with one unlike now!

I had battery issues on the last trip and rang Mainbrace on the way in, they got the batteries to the quayside, took the old ones away and even had the card machine with them to save me having to go to the shop. Price was good too. Now that's what you call a great service and going the extra mile, forgot to say it was after hours too. ππ Only problem was it meant we had more time in the bar!! Small sacrifice. πΊπΊ

Greetings Kev, hope the steak and champers went down well, how the other half live!!! πππ₯

If the rope is too long it gets caught around your bow at times and if not careful can make the anchor rope go under the boat, not good. As Rob says shorter the rope the better. Always best to see how someone does it to be on the safe side.
