  6. I think for the weather to change that much now would be a miracle! Why dont we make it official its cancelled so people have a chance not to loose their holiday booked this weekend? Cancel tonight and agree on a new date for the trip, any date is ok with me! If anyone wants to meet tonight not a problem with venue.
  7. Birthday wishes to you both, enjoy your day.
  8. Similar to a day on Poole Patch.!! Makes a mincer look worthless, and thats not aimed at Mal!! :)

I'm back, there is only so many times you can make a trip down the rapids before every bone has been beaten!! :) Meeting up any evening is fine with me. Secret rigs Charlie?? 16. There's always one, he was hoping for the biggie at the last minute, I think his name was Alex Furguson!! Lofty can I have the black and white photo, would love to have it on office wall, give me a reason to look forward for time off!! Well done looks like the comp can only grow!!
  17. Well done on the organising Steve. I have to say what great set of guys, they must be all barking mad as it was freezing first thing! A good day out and they did well to keep going in the conditions. A pleasure to be involved and great no incidents reported. Good luck next year.
  18. Hi Charlie Its on the floor next to the anchor well and I kneel on it. It allows me to keep control of the rope easier and allows me to tuck rope into the well because I,m so close to it. Is yours fitted on the bow or side deck?
  19. The foot switch on mine Charlie was already fitted but I find it easier and safer to operate it with my knee. Just the way it works on mine. Glad everything went well.
  20. Nice one Charlie, hope all goes well tomorrow. Thanks for the freezer, pints all round in Alderney for the Chapmans for it. Tight lines.
  21. Great write ups and some interesting thoughts. When I bought my boat there was a down rigger with it that has never been used, if you fancy giving it a go some time give me a pm. With your knowledge I suspect there maybe some fun to be had!! Chris
  22. I have sorted some ice if anyone requires it for the trip. Flaked, I had mine from there last year and still had ice on the way home. Arranged to meet at Greenslade's Thursday early evening with containers / cool boxes and will be £10 for a fill up each. I will let them know how many and of course weather permitting a couple of days beforehand. Hope this helps.
  23. If anyone wants a meeting before the trip we could use the same venue as last year. Tea and biscuits provided. I will also make a call regarding crushed ice. May have a possible source for a large volume just need to speak to the right person. I will get an answer asap and also cost of course.
  24. Ok, if the weather stays kind for you I will be there.
  25. Hi Steve, Offer still there as safety boat for Saturday, just let me know, Kingfisher went back in the water today. Cheers Chris
