  5. Hi Terry If you want it right it is Gunwale,, but who cares?
  6. Happy returns Neal, have a good one. Hope you have put a nice new boat on the list or yours will look old against Dave's new one!!
  7. Hi Charlie A great idea about taking a few people out and give them the chance to get fishing. I am willing to help out with a boat if it happens. Chris
  8. Some good photos to get into the press for everyone, I, m sure that can only help all invoved. A great start, well done PBSBAC.
  9. Thanks for efforts for those that ran the comp, a good day out as far as flounder fishing goes for me! Usually I either a blank or maybe 1 fish, not yesterday 2 fish with the first 2 drifts with the float. Great start and was hoping for a good catch, but no not another fish all day between us. Still the egg cup of diesel used and the banter on the boat and the prize giving banter made it worth the effort. I see the comp wind gods are hard at work for next weekends comp!!
  10. Happy Birthday Rob, can't think why you didn't want to buy everyone a pint tonight!! Hope you had a good one. Not sure about your chicken hat! How long have you been a member of that club?
  11. Kev you will have to see if Jacob will share it with you!!
  12. No brill there Jim, you need to get out more. What a cracking report, glad the benefits of everyone's time and effort are now paying off. This can only go from strength to strength for all involved. Looks like Martin has a flair for the fishing too!! You know what they say Paul always use a rubber for protection, a classic case here over your connections!!
  13. Their will be a Hamper awarded to the winner and 'festive' prizes given to everyone that weighs in a flounder. The weigh in will be at Cobbs Quay - from 4.30 - 5.00 followed by the award giving for the Junior Specimen Competition held earlier this Summer Book in as usual - Kayaks welcome! 1) Court Jester - Plus Crew TBA 2) Alfresco - Charlie, Sam 3) kingfisher - Chris, Crew TBC
  14. Nice try Nigel, not sure about shouting about dogging in carparks though! No fishing for me today, had a party at Hamble last night? stayed over and went for a walk early doors and not a breath of wind!! Sam is catching a fair few at the moment, hope he leaves one for me!

  17. Might be worth putting some bait on the anchor!!
  18. I, m out too. Make sure them fenders are out Nigel if weather permits a trip to see you! I hear a few caught again today. Chris
  19. Good effort one and all, always nice to get a response for peoples effort too.
  20. What you have to remember Charlie is how many people in goverment have fishing intrests against how many are landlords and land owners? If it meant farms etc would suffer there would be a queue in goverment to shout for the action required! As always never quite fair for all. Its a start though.
  21. Well done gents and a very well done Jacob again putting alot of us to shame!! Endland boat squad for Jacob soon if he carries on!
  22. I bet that was a handful to get in!!!
  23. Biggest hook up we had was a hook into Stu,s finger! A 1lb weight fell over the side causing the following hook to embed in his index finger and the bouncing weight making sure it was well in! I cut the hook in two and tried with a pair of pliers to get it out, no chance. Ended up dropping him on the quay and he jumped in a cab to A&E, all sorted and a couple of boxes of antibiotics for his trouble. Well done Poole Hospital. Cheers Jim for a good day out, just short on quality fish next time hopefully. Chris
  24. 4 years before I got here!!
  25. Leaving yourself open there Brian, hope your not going to say that you was there?
