Looks like its a job for life if he can get that lot in them jeans!! Got to be worth a try for an hour or so!!
  4. Might be worth putting some bait on the anchor!!
  5. I, m out too. Make sure them fenders are out Nigel if weather permits a trip to see you! I hear a few caught again today. Chris
  6. Good effort one and all, always nice to get a response for peoples effort too.
  7. What you have to remember Charlie is how many people in goverment have fishing intrests against how many are landlords and land owners? If it meant farms etc would suffer there would be a queue in goverment to shout for the action required! As always never quite fair for all. Its a start though.
  8. Well done gents and a very well done Jacob again putting alot of us to shame!! Endland boat squad for Jacob soon if he carries on!
  9. I bet that was a handful to get in!!!
  10. Biggest hook up we had was a hook into Stu,s finger! A 1lb weight fell over the side causing the following hook to embed in his index finger and the bouncing weight making sure it was well in! I cut the hook in two and tried with a pair of pliers to get it out, no chance. Ended up dropping him on the quay and he jumped in a cab to A&E, all sorted and a couple of boxes of antibiotics for his trouble. Well done Poole Hospital. Cheers Jim for a good day out, just short on quality fish next time hopefully. Chris
  11. 4 years before I got here!!
  12. Leaving yourself open there Brian, hope your not going to say that you was there?
  13. Makes Charlies slip up look not too bad!!
  14. Martin you are more than welcome, anytime. Mal, you think the worse of me!! Thanks guys for the banter with Leanne Monday, walked into a war zone after work!! Only joking she was still laughing when I got in, nice one. Chris
  15. Hi Lofty, Willing to be a saftey, support boat if you require (could do teas and coffees). Let me know either way. Chris
  16. I think we need to start looking at a handicap system for the comps Nigel, now the cod-father is on the list!!!

  19. Hi, Do you think we need be starting a new thread / topic for the new comp date? Looking massive on this one. Just a thought.
  20. I have a couple of pairs of these, one pair on the boat and a pair for when I go fly fishing they have been great. Very warm too. http://www.cottontraders.com/highland-waterproof-boot/invt/aq11079 Even cheaper link. http://www.cottontraders.com/invt/aq10502#.UoCDLmanzMI Chris
  21. Posh ones only have the bar!!!!
  22. We went out at 9am and I would personally say the right decision was made to cancel the comp. It was uncomfortable and too rough until 3ish for the smaller boats. Well done on an early call to give people a chance to change their plans. Always a difficult call. Chris
  23. I only put my sharking gear up in the loft a couple of weeks ago, if there is another hit with someone it may be back out for a bit of winter hunting!! Would be great to see what it may be, there are always a few hits every year in the winter.
  24. Speaking to a couple of shore anglers and they have been catching some pretty big plaice off Poole quay. Maybe worth a drift around quay and stakes bouy area for a look sometime. Biggest just under 4lb so I, m told. Chris
  25. We are doing the same, leaving Cobbs 9ish all being well.
