  5. I,ve spent the weekend doing the same Charlie, I, ve now got a boat that looks like something out of scrapheap challenge theres so many bits off it. Spent the day polishing today so at least its looks a bit better and has a nice shine! Now hand deep into the pockets to pay for some new bits and pieces!! For some reason no newbies have turned up to get some polishing practice in that I was willing to share! :( Had lots of company and chit chat from Jacob the last couple of days.

  11. I started to empty wheelhouse of everything today as boat is out and easy to load the car. Found a couple of nice coats, one with Pro heat embroided on one, blue in colour. The other green and brown had tablets in the pocket, Epilim chrono 300, Keppra 250mg and Keppra 1000mg. Also some blue diamond shape with xxx on (sorry made the last bit up!!!!) Only the first three. I have washed them and if they are anyones from the club who has been out with me please let me know. I have also found cool bags, scarves, gloves, hats, and sunglasses so if anyone has left anything like that pm me. Before you put a calm in Jim the coats dont fit us!!!! :( I was going to get my prop reduced in size may not have to if this lot goes to rightful owners!! :)
  12. Hope you had a good day Matt, Get you a beer in Alderney, have a good one. Chris
  13. You are right Martin they never make a mistake now what was that called "IMAX" I think!!!!!!! One thing you have to say is the second bridge has made road traffic around Poole better for sure. That week back to one bridge will highlight that!
  14. Hi Rik Welcome to the club, I'm based at Cobb's so always about. The best thing is to get involved and ask lots of questions. As my boat came out the water yesterday it maybe ideal for you spend some time helping me polish, clean, maintain and generally see where you can spend money on our floating investments!!! Worth a try!! I'm sure you will enjoy, I'm out by the Dry stack office if you are about and fancy a chat. Chris
  15. Birthday wishes gents, I had to take Nigel fishing!!

  20. Hi, Was there a thread with this years Comp dates on posted? There only seems the kayak plaice chase and species comp (19th & 20th April) in the calendar. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
  21. No water should come from there via header tank, the water through the exhaust comes from raw water pump. That still does not explain how the water got into the sump so fast as on the fill up! A cracked header tank would explain it getting into piston pots when running. I would suspect a cracked liner / block to get in that quick. I have also had this when liner seals have gone. If rebuilt correctly this should have all been checked while stripped. The Volvos dont like over heating everything cracks and a right bas----d to find everything at once. Their gearboxes are the same, overheat them then scrap them! Good luck with getting resolved, but I suspect you may have several problems there! Chris
  22. Hi Nige Good to see things are moving along for you, hope all goes well and the momentum keeps going. You will soon be ready for the season. Good luck.
  23. Cheers Charlie I will sort it asap on my return.
