A few photo's from Mudeford around 4pm yesterday ( spring low) There's more water in the channel than expected but i suspect it's very shallow. You can just about make out how close the yellow bouys are to the bank PJ

The talk i heard last year was much more upbeat and full of stategic content. Mark and the AT took a leap of faith to provide a decent structure to suport the forecasted membership. This is something the NFSA never acheived, they could hardly respond to an email in many cases. The AT has been let down badly by a lack of support and we have seen the depressing sight of redundancies already! I have nothing but praise for Mark Lloyd and his commitment to the cause, i would have given up ages ago and been left with the impression that the UK angler derserves what they get and what they are willing to pay for. It really depresses me to think that anglers are willing to sit back and do nothing, watching an organisation like this go down the pan. I was angry at Portillo's comments about cod being in decline but that bass stocks were healthy - basically giving the green light to a non enlightened public to take the next poor species to the brink. They are using Bass to appease the commercials who are pissed off about Cod quota's. I really don't know why we pamper this sector, if it's not viable they should do something else! Rant over PJ

Braving those harsh conditions to bring us our tea - what a load of bo....cks. If we can manage to destroy a fast growing fishery like Cod that is controlled by quota's etc. what chance does a slow growing fish have thats currently taken before it's got a chance to breed? god help us PJ
