    gps help

Hi all, Im having problems with my Gps all of a sudden I've a Lowarance 3300c and i've started getting "alarm updating" then "Gps module not responding" messages. I suspect it's in the wiring loom rather than the kit itself but i need to test it. does anyone have a Lowrance setup that i can plug into who's local to Moordown? Mostly i need to verify the GPs module works OK. Failing that i guess i'll need to get over to Poole which is always difficult mid week - was it MES that fix these things? cheers PJ
  2. Hi Dave, We are working on having the rules published in an area of the Website so in future people can reference them. 6. IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM ANGLING TRUST & FISH LEGAL The Angling Trust has been through a very difficult period in its development. We failed to attract the number of members we wanted and we have therefore had to cut operating costs and staffing levels accordingly. As a brand new organisation, with very small capital reserves, we have had to take these measures to be viable for the future. As our subscription and other income grows, we will in time be able to recruit more staff and do more for all our members. However, it is not all doom and gloom! We are still signing up more than 100 individual members each week and several new recruitment initiatives are currently being launched with the support of the angling trade. Our work continues on all fronts and all the staff and Directors are intent on continuing to build the organisation we all want to see. Click on this link for a fuller article on our web site entitled Angling Trust Alive and Kicking http://www.anglingtrust.net/page.asp?secti...20and%20Kicking Angling Trust Appeal Last week we also received a very generous donation of

  14. Charlie, I'll have my say but towards the end, Due to my position, i don't want to be seen as trying to steer or influence this in anyway as it's whats best for the club that matters PJ
  15. I think the above case is an exception rather than the rule or maybe that species is sensitive to rust. There have been lots of examples of fish surviving with hooks in them especially Conger. If in doubt go barbless, definitely with trebles PJ
  16. It would be good if this subject can be debated through to a conclusion and a consensus reached to whether we have a proposal that can be put to the commitee and voted on at the AGM. Thats not until April so we should be able to flush out all the issues and come up with a practical solution that everybodys happy with by then?. As Martin said the over-riding issue that the commitee will be concerned about is safety and whether the committee is willing to take on increased risk if thats what it amounts to. Some other items for discussion would be: Does the club want a kayak section and how would it effect the club as a whole - would it cause divisions or add to our already diverse group? How will it effect competitions? How many other rules need to be changed to accommodate single passenger craft? Are there any objections? on what basis? This could be a fundemental shift from where we are now so i'd like to get as much honest feedback as possible from as many different people as possible so we can gauge iinterest and allow ZED to decide if it's worth pursuing. By the way thanks for raising it, i'll stay out of it as i have a vested interest being a keen yaker myself Cheers PJ
