  6. Mike, MY pb is 12lb 100z which i kept 5 years ago so i understand the elation experienced with such a catch- what a feeling. When this high wore off the remorse set in and i still regret it today but hey thats history. If only we could spend a little more time with catch before having to release them, but you have to decide on the spot which is difficult. I don't feel comfortable criticizing anyone for retaining fish as it's a personal choice but do feel a little sad at the same time. " before you criticize a man walk a mile in his shoes, that way you're at least a mile away and have his shoes" The Catch and Release trophy is still up for grabs PJ :
  7. It was a lot sloppier than expected and not comfortable at all, still nice to being out doing something different for a change. Fishing was slow with only dogs except for a single whiting to me which went 3lb 4oz. The boat took an age to turn in the slack tide so we didn't really fish the flood too much as we were beam on most of the time. We went inshore into the needles to throw some lures around for about 10 mins which resulted in a 2lb bass. We then trolled around and hooked about a dozen Garfish which was fun. We then bolted home and amused ourselves with the slipway antics of the WAfI's. Thanks to Paul D for a pleasant day out on the good ship Neo PJ

    Hello

Hi Lee, Many of us fish Christchurch all year round, but as Charlie says they will remove the buoys soon. Must get round to deleting the old trails and refreshing the correct one. It's much easier access than it used to be but does require attention/caution and the right conditions PJ
