  5. We struggled and didn't even get a cod bite.Had a conger at last knockings that stayed deep and tight to back of the boat but with all my Wishin didn't turn into a cod That's the second Sunday on a trot in brilliant sunshine that's fished pants. A big well done to those that found one Nige

Paul I have Lowrance Gen 2 which you've seen on the boat ,the down imaging is good but you have to do it at a very slow speed about 3 knts to get a clear sounding.Havent used mine much but it is impressive when I do,you can see individual branches of weed etc. If he looks on there web site or utube he will see it in action I can run my head unit at home if u want to have a play Nige

With such a small loss of revs it is going to be a nightmare to find,could be a whole load of different elements which is causing it.i also don't like long periods at full throttle especially well over 4k on a diesel .i would of thought 3k to 3.250 would be better and more economical. The loss of coolant would be my number one priority. As to taking to max revs stationary a blip is ok but in this case I believe it to be an under load problem Find where you are loosing coolant first Nige

    I think the Saltist from what I've seen has extremely small eyes which can be annoying if you use a mono leader knot ,but lovely action and bite detection IMHO. Nige
