  11. Excellent session Steve - well done. Much better 'STAMP' of fish than we were able to find, albeit not a surprise... Neal took Dave and I out and similar to Charlie, we decided to stay inshore using livebait, rag and artificials. It was a struggle. We managed six between us mainly small, but with one of 3lb 4oz on the first drop - sadly that wasn't a sign of things to come.... A lovely day to be out - with good company - and pleasing that we all found the 'TARGET' species......

  17. Out yesterday with No. 1 son Glen. No wind or tide in the harbour at 9.30 so out we went. A couple of unsuccessful slow inshore drifts saw us move to the patch where interest was sporadic (from the fish). Pout and small bream obliged with the occasional wrasse and mini species. A first for Glen was a brightly coloured Baillons Wrasse, followed by another first, a female Cuckoo Wrasse. Several gobies put in an appearance, then a Tompot Blenny - with a crimson head-dress... After lunch moved to the Swash for several almost fruitless weedy drifts where we boated a Tub Gurnard. Into the harbour then for further fruitless drifts. Found a mooring and bites came as the tide started. Mini black bream fest followed, apart from a baby smoothound. That was it, back to Cobbs for a washdown in between bridge lifts. Another most enjoyable day out.
