  13. Just had this reminder - together with entry form and poster. Looks like Mike's idea of a qualifying event didn't happen. Perhaps the Committee should discuss a way forward for future years. Stuie Dear Club Secretary, Just a reminder of our Wessex Boat Championship out of Poole, Saturday 13th June. There are still a limited amount of spaces remaining. Download the attached Entry Form and return to Kim Bowden asap. You can contact Kim on his mobile at any time on 07879 894492. Tight Lines, Richard Prosser Secretary At Wessex Region Marine
  14. I think it's location and tide Mike. When we left there were 20 or so boats anchored and the flood had started too. True Blue anglers were catching plenty as we passed too.
  15. A 7,30 start from Cobbs with Ken intending to return at 12 midday in view of the weather reports. Straight to the patch and anchored trying for bream and whatever else fancied our offerings. We were the only boat there. (That should have given me a clue......) The bream were a long time coming but we managed three shortly after 11am with a few wrasse and pout earlier. Cracking cuckoo wrasse - Back at Cobbs at 1pm with a good wash down for Sea Dream - thanks for coming out Ken, and for wielding the sponge.
  16. Made me laugh Chris - picture of a man with funnel and hose looking to insert it somewhere.......
  17. Belated birthday wishes Chris - I hope you're having a great one and didn't work too hard. today.
  18. Best wishes Kam - hope you made the most of your day..
  19. 'Interesting' trip out on Sea Dream with ian. We didn't rush - conditions didn't allow it. Arrived at the overspill car park - west of Bournemouth Pier - and tried a few drifts - plenty of lost tackle but no fish. When conditions eased we were able to anchor the patch where we had bream, dogs a smoothie to Ian and a whiting to yours truly. A couple of late drifts saw Ian bag another bream but no further species. Great company thanks Ian - no surprise there though. Ian - bream and smoothie Stuie - bream, LSD and whiting.
