  2. Cheers mate. I will be back this summer. I'm older and wiser ;-) Don't trust marine engineeres lol.
  3. Oh. After reading all this. I think i'll quit on that idea. Had enough problems. Dont want to couse one. Only a 90l tank. And just wanted to have a hole for cleaning. Even if only once. Some great points. Tanks almost empty. So it was a good time to plan something :-(
  4. Was looking at installing a 6" hatch on my diesel tank. It could do with a clean. This with hylomar blue gasket paste. Would this be suitable to hold pressure/not leak. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Trusted the wrong monkeys :-( Should name and shame really! Just Spoke to a turbo specialist bout a rebuild. But as theres hardly any play in the turbo. I agreed that its more likely the crankcase pressure, stopping the the turbo oil draining at high revs. Since they rebuilt it, blow by has been a choo choo. And it gets bad at high revs (blew oil cap off). So obv the new piston rings weren't done correctly. Oh well. Engine out again.
  6. Took turbo off. And theres oil in the large black hose.that goes to the CAC I assume turbo gasses should exit here? So prob the turbo seals? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi everyone. Just finished running in rebuilt engine, never trusted it tbf after cowboys had it. And whilst out oil pressure dropped 20%, whilst at 90% throttle. And theres oil coming out of the aftercooler/crankcase vent hole. About 1 litre, continues dripping. I cant get my head around the routing, and how its ended up there. Was at high revs it happend. Im guessing either turbo or head gasket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Cheers nige. Hopefully pop in around 12 if thts ok. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Thanks jim. Yep, 7-8 months of no luck :-( Still have my doubts about the engine now. After all this. I reckon it will play up still. Some mechanics just cant be trusted ive learnt.,

  22. Hi Everyone.. The long saga continues. Ive managed to rescue the coolant tank/bowman. Had it welded, But unfortunatly on pressure testing , a small jet of water came out from the weld inside the exhaust. (Red arrow) Is there anyone with a small enough welding torch who (For money) would have a go at sorting this for me.
  23. Now sold. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
