  1. I Would like to say a big thank you to Sam and his family for organising and hosting a well run 2014 Junior Competition. Fortunately the weather was brilliant which made the juniors able to enjoy their fishing experience and in turn the fish came out to play. The BBQ which was held at Sam's place was equally brilliant. Being relatively new to the club we were made to feel so welcome by everyone and the food was great. What I believe was a success was that the juniors were all hanging out together at the BBQ and I overheard them speaking about their fishing experiences - Result!!! Trying to get Brad away from the 'X' Box recently has been quite a challenge, however, I asked him if he would like to do the Junior fishing comp' again next year and he instantly said 'yes'. Brad was well happy at coming second in the number of species caught and loves his fishing tackle prize. He has it displayed on the dining room table as I write this thred. I believe if the future Junior Comps are run like this one they could turn into something big. Well done Sam Greg, Carol and Bradley

  3. My thoughts. (we are only fishing the second date due to being on holiday the first date) I think it would be a great thing for the kids to fish close together as long as the weather conditions are OK. Unfortunately, my son is nervous of chop and large swell. I think it would make sense not to be too far out because of the restricted fishing time. Also, we (Marlin) would have to get the 08.30 twin bridges which means we won't be able to get out to the bay until around 09.30. We will then meet up with the rest of the boats if that's what's to be. There is no way we could get the 07.30 bridges as that would mean we would have to get my son up at 06.00. He would be good for nothing by 10.00!! I would also like him to be awake for the BBQ!! We are happy to fish any rules. Greg.

  6. Hi Sam My son Bradley would also like to enter the competition on our boat Marlin. However, we are unavailable on the 27th July but can make the 24th August. As a possible solution would he be able to fish a half day prior to the 24th August and document his catch to count as the first competition day? Greg.
