They luminous pink t shirt spooked so many fish we tried to cover it up!!! Some brilliant videos which I doubt I have the tech know how to download!!!

A final swan song for my mate from Grenada, who has just returned to the UK having run a sports boat in Kenya and WI for 30years. We could not believe our luck with the weather, superb. The fish this year were a much smaller year class atm averaging 80-170lbs whereas the the previous successful trip 2 years ago they were 300-600lbs. Stewart now 78 and feeling his years, didn’t want to play a fish stand, up but having seen 4 to the boat we twisted his arm and he bought a nice 65inch 130lbs guesstimate in short order. Over the two days we had 10 fish to the boat to 66inches around 150lbs, we dropped one but were delighted to of tagged 11. Great laughs and a good send off to Stewart retiring in Bishops Stortford. Get in this year or next with Steve Porter on True Blue, great skipper and gent with a top crew.

It was great to have you onboard!!!! In my defence i did say bring your own mugs!! I think getting Chris to do a thesis on how saltwater affects metallic material would be good!!

Unfortunately due to weather and lack of entries both Competitions are cancelled this weekend.

Well it looks like we are back to normal with our unpredictable weather! Saturday looks better and i think Sunday might unfortunately not be. I will post tomorrow or early Friday if the Adult Specimen and Junior Species Competitions are going to take place this weekend.

If you go to the Competition section, you will find the rules, very straight forward. If you have any problems or questions feel free to contact me. It would be great to have you join in.

Lets hope this weather stays with us, entries to be posted as usual and hopefully a good turnout.

Adult Specimen Comp 16-17th September Lets try again!!! Putting this on the same weekend as the Junior Species Comp so lets get a few boats out having a bit of banter and a Competition as well. Put your names down as usual. Jerry

Junior Specimen Competition Results First: Harvey Mason Cuckoo Wrasse 1lbs 2oz 90% specimen Second: William Maloney Flounder 1lbs 4oz 45% specimen Third Blake Witheford Dogfish (LSD) 1lbs 4oz 41% specimen We have a trophy for Harvey, which hopefully we can present on the 17th if he is fishing. Well done Harvey and everyone who took part, lets hope next July the weather is kinder to give everyone more chances to get out. Junior Species Comp 17th Sept, put it in the diary!

Bank Holiday approaching specimen Comp is still running until the end of August, got to be in it to win it!!

Neil, i would like to think so, but we need a bit more commitment, ATM all entries will get a rod and reel prize with so few entries! Which isn't a problem, but we are trying to get newbies into the sport. Any of Leos mates could fish/join as only £2.00 entry for juniors to fish the Comps, and join the club, bargain! Lets hope the weather is kind for a couple of weeks and a few more juniors can get out.

We will keep the Specimen Comp going until the end of August hoping the weather keeps on improving as it seems to be doing. Jerry
