  4. Flatfish Comp this coming weekend, weather looking like it should hold!! Book your bait from PSA early as I’m sure lots will be out.
  5. That sounds like a day dads and children will never forget!!!!!! Awesome great report Rob 👍👍👍👍
  6. Yes Martin I know who you mean!!!! He could afford one, boys toys and all that, I think Salterns had a dealer there but Stuie is right there is or was one at Cobbs, never seen it out!!!
  7. Due to the number of changed dates for the Species Competition, the ageing Competition Secretary didn’t see last weeks Species Competition was also meant to be the Flatfish Competition!!!!!! Anyway I suggest the Flatfish Comp is now going to be held on the 16-17th July. There is a good high heading towards us so let’s hope we get a consistent settled period so we can all get out. August 6-7th Ray Comp after the Flatfish
  8. Species Comp 2022 First Alan Green 20 Species Fisheagle Second Mike Fox 13 Species. Marlin Third Chris Witheford 11 Species. Kingfisher Well done everyone who took part when we finally managed to run the Competition The flatfish Competition will be re scheduled this month if the weather plays ball. The Ray Competition we hope will be 6-7th August.
  9. Apologies I am away struggling to catch trout on Wimbleball. I hope the crew will put a report in, but in short Jerry had 10 species, Stuie had 8 species and the biggest fish (Tope 30lbs) and Dave Wilson had 10 species also, if all other boats could post there catch reports results will follow. Nice day with a slightly inaccurate weather forecast.
  10. Stuie caught a great Tope today and I was thinking great for a photo, welders gloves on and it bit through at just the wrong time!!! Sorry Stuie
  11. At least it’s a Garfish Neil, none our end for 2 years??????
  12. Loobie1V Jerry Shutter, Stuie, Dave Wilson
  13. Last attempt to run the the Species Competition 2022 This weekend Saturday looks unsettled but Sunday looks very fishable, so rather than waiting for a two day window after so many postponements, the Competition will run Sunday July 3rd, I hope a few people manage to make the date. Obviously use your own discretion as skipper for the weather on the day. Safety First Usual process to sign in. Tight Lines Jerry
  14. Hi Mick, Thankyou for your thoughts, what do others think? Jerry
  15. Hi Neil, If you look at the Competition rules, unfortunately if you are on a working charter boat with other paying anglers you cannot enter the Competition. You can however enter on the Sunday on your boat. Let’s hope the weather plays ball. I stand corrected if I have mis read or not understood the ruling. Jerry
  16. Species Competition this weekend is cancelled. Unfortunately the weather is deteriorating rather than improving, we will postpone until 2nd and 3rd July, if we can hold it then, but if the weather is against us, we will perhaps, if weed allows just hold it in the harbour.
  17. Weather permitting Loobie 1V Jerry Shutter, Stuie, Jerry Sumbler
  18. The weather is not looking brilliant but a decision will be made tomorrow (Thursday) as to whether we can do the Species Comp this weekend. Any one planning to enter if this weekend please put your name down to give us an idea of uptake. Thanks Jerry
  19. Have a great day, hope you’ve got some nice wine to go with those bass😉😉🎂🎂🎂🍷🍷
  20. Ok Guys, Having chatted to other committee members, the weather is looking like it could go either way, Father’s Day, and few entries, it has been suggested we postpone until next weekend and hope for better weather and a bit more enthusiasm from members.. So the Species Comp is re scheduled for the 25th and 26th June, sorry to those who entered this weekend but I feel the weather is to inclement at present to go ahead. Jerry
  21. Next weekend is the Species Comp, fish either the Saturday or Sunday weather permitting, I am sure Mal or I will post something if the weather isn’t looking kind. If you haven’t fished any of the club Competitions fish this one, it’s great fun, basically everything counts, it’s not all about size!!! If you have any questions or concerns ring myself 07866532766 or any committee member who will be delighted to help. Tight lines Jerry
