  2. Dean, Would love to but working next week I am off though - Airshow week....
  3. I have crew for Saturday and Paul ( from Australia ) is lined up as crew possibly on Sunday - although will decide on Sunday after Saturday. Chris, Always happy to take you out one evening next week if you want. ( Weather looks good ) - Provided I can get away from work early one day.
  4. Congratulations Rachel and Adam. I bet Adam can't wait to take him fishing
  5. Just watch me ! - Depends on what time you are launching as well
  6. Looking to go out on Saturday or Sunday ( or maybe both ! ). Anyone up for crewing ? ( happy to take newer members if interested ) - Wick or Lymington launch. Dependant upon weather either try some bassing in the bay or for some smoothhound action in the solent. PS: Been a long time since I have been out, so probably forgot how to catch anything ( not as if I ever knew in the first place ). If interested PM me or call me
  7. Looking for crew this weekend as haven't been out for an age. I bet you are pig sick not being able to get out

    Big Smut

Do they have scales ??? Got me tempted to ave a go for the smoothies when the weather improves. My favourite fishing spot is down that way.
  10. I would guess the next meeting is on the 6th August. ( First Thursday in the month ).
  11. Count me in ( weather willing ) and provided the skip on my drive is removed for the weekend !
  12. If it were me I would wait. As someone else said here, it is a buyers market, so why buy something that doesn't fulfull what you need ( and with a 25HP engine it won't ). When I bought Neo it has a "dodgy" engine which never really went quite right - expensive to service and barely got the boat on the plane ( and that was a 30HP engine ). Best thing I did was to trade in and get a new engine but certainly is not the cheapest way to do it. I have now replaced engine and trailer and could have bought a new package for much less. So I would wait and get nearer to what is required.
  13. My nephew ( 14 year old ) is coming down to "go fishing" next week. He is getting into coarse and sea fishing ( last year he had a nice conger off the ledge in broad daylight ) and last week had his first carp from some river in Essex so is now dead keen. It would be nice to get him into some more fish ( hopefully on Neo ) but if anyone is going out and has room for 2 any time next week then it would be great to try for something else. cheers Paul
  14. Ordered a bit too many for my garden so have 40 to 50 slabs spare. Cost me
  15. Glad you got amonnst the fish Craig. I was on Just Purfick waving to you. We had a few ourselves but also found the fish thin on the ground (especially compared to our last time out there ! ) and also had a slow start before picking a few up from the same spot as yourselves. But what a cracking day to be out there.
  16. Very nice. I think the crew probably all just used the toilet ! Go on - how big then ?
  17. Kam, Checkout Tacklebargain site, Seconds at much cheaper price solid c
  18. Not that I condone speeding through traffic lights ( To be honest no=one should be worrying about being caught speeding through traffic lights as they shouldn't be doing it in the first place !) However, the stats on the safety camera site show that the number of accidents has gone UP or remained unchanged since fitting the traffic light pass on red cameras. Is this not evidence that they just don't work ??
  19. Got the day off work but unfortunately already booked to do decorating at home Next time Dean, I will be more than happy to crew.
  20. Going to be busy as I suspect Tomo might just be heading out that way too on Sunday.
  21. I broke my actuator but managed to repair it.
  22. Martin, I will need to amend the form. On the case
  23. Article here
  24. Didn't lighten my mood as I seem to recall it was my line that parted ! - and before anyone goes onto knots being poor it was actually broken 2 inches below the leader to braid knot. It was awesome and a priviledge to :- 1) Watch Tom battle with an eel that dived back all the way to the bottom not once but twice and 2) To be put on the wreck with superb precision not once but twice. ( Precision anchoring Gordon - I have seen it in action ) No luck at all in the feat ( if there was then I would have one as well !! ).
