  1. Helen had to have her Engagement Ring and Wedding Ring cut off during our honeymoon in Turkey ( she was stung on the finger by a wasp ).
  2. I thought the same re: brownie points but apparently the fence was around Sandbanks ...... I am sure Paul will be OK for Alderney on Saturday though
  3. Oops - Appologies - the beer is a bit strong here !
  4. Pete, You are more than welcome if I take Neo out. Might be a big if though as will have been away from home for the week with a forthcoming trip to Alderney coming up. If it is bright and sunny though, could be tempted
  5. Leaving Friday is not doable for me either I suspect. ( Some of us have to work ) Hope Neil is planning on a Saturday departure, but if not let me know and I will hopefully be able to book time off work.
  6. FPO says .... When you said we were going on a caravanning holiday I didn't realise you had this in mind
  7. Lets hope not
  8. Charlie, If Adam can't make it, then I have permission
  9. That's married life for you Adam
  10. Dave, Very nice looking boat. I am sure you will have great fun and can't wait for the better weather.
  11. Rich, Round 4 - Bass Catch and Release Comp - Saturday 2nd August. Full list is here :- Comp Details
  12. Cheers for that tip Andy. I also have a bag of M10 washers now as many of mine were the incorrect size ( as you pointed out a while ago ).
  13. Sundays are the best days for me. I go to football every other Saturday ( although that could change soon ! ). Also, have to go into town to pay on cheques to the bank ( not open on Sundays ) plus I think getting permission for Saturdays may be much harder.
  14. So there are 2 boats looking for crew now. I am almost tempted to go on one boat but would be a bit too tired with having to leave home next morning at 4 AM. Still tempting mind. Surely 2 club members without a trailed boat would jump at this chance ?
  15. As if the looks were bad enough, they only went and called me a fathead

    Welcome to the forum Richard
  17. My "cheapo" - Taiwanese ABU 7000 is looking a bit worst for wear. Now has one retainer left from 3 and the plate on the side has fully sheared off and the metal is somewhat corroded / pitted. ( I must post a picture ! ) Still works though as hauled up 2 eels on the weekend
  18. Got me thinking I might be needing a service soon as well. 2 years up now and must be over 200 hours. Better start saving I guess Gary, also remember you have an extra cylinder to our, so bound to cost more !
  19. OK Mike - Post the image on World Sea Fishing exactly as you have done here. Then when the forum administrator removes the copyright material ( which he will do as it will be in breach of their rule 13 ) post a reply to their moderator exactly as you have done here. I will then be interested to see what happens next

  22. I am unfortunately off to Sweden the following morning, so shan't be able to make the trip I can, however, fully recommend this to anyone with a trailed boat. You will be given a buddy boat from the Burnham Boats to show you how to avoid any pitfalls ( and if you are lucky where to catch some fish ! ). Catching Thornback Rays is like fishing for dogfish and it is great fun.
  23. You might have but it wasn't quite big enough.
  24. This site goes live at lunchtime today. I have been asked to pass on to others. So here is the link Emergence-ski
  25. Fished aboard Alfresco today and my meagre catch is not going to be presenting any competition for the trophy at this early stage. Still, had a great day out again and we sat out a heavy hailstorm before grabbing a few eels each before moving in for some other species ( ie. dogfish ) and Charlie showed the way with a pout as well. Most enjoyable, although I was feeling a little rough to start. Pulling up a conger made me feel so much better strangely
