  2. What's he at exactly ? What the f%*ck has an E-Tec got to do with a conversion from knots to Mph ?
  3. My estimate was a little on the slow side !! - Realised this going out of Christchurch harbour the other day Probably more like 10 knots.
  4. How can I tell you are a Project Manager ??
  5. Check out the improved Catch Report Viewer
  6. Assuming postage costs of
  7. Catch Reports will be improving soon as well.... Watch this space
  8. 1 mile = 5280 Feet 1 Nautical Mile = 6082 Feet. Therefore 1 Nautical Mile per Hour = 6,082 Feet per Hour = 6082/5280 Mph = 1.15 Mph So 22.5 Knots = 22.5 x 1.15 Mph = 25.88 Mph Nautical Mile definition
  9. Results to date are attached :-
  10. Editied - 2017: To fish the comps all you have to do is register before the day with any Committee Member - or via a thread on the forum from Fish Recorder \ Committee Member will accept registration this way as well. You can also register on the day by calling Committee Member up on Channel 6. If a boat is not registered for each comp then their catches will not count. Weighing of fish is done on trust ( apart from the Flounder Comp - Dec).
  11. Google Maps Select get directions Enter New York to London Checkout step 23 ( its a long way ! ) Good to see they have a sense of humour
  12. Trev, We came from over the direction where your buoy would have drifted but didn't see it floating around ( although I would have probably thought it was a pot bouy ).

    Hi Neal

Neil, Noticed you out on the Sunday. You did better than we did ( I should have stayed on the ledge. ). To fish the comps all you have to do is register the night before with either myself ( Paul Dore - 07887 875964 ) or with Mike Fox 07768 232483 - also I will put a thread on the forum and will accept registration this way as well. You can also register on the day by calling myself or Mike up on Channel 6 ( Neo or Frisky Fox ). If you are unable to contact either myself of Mike then call any other committee member or call them up on Channel 6 in the morning and they will pass on the message. If a boat is not registered for each comp then their catches will not count. Weighing of fish is done on trust ( apart from the Nov Open Comp ). I hope this is of help. regards Paul
  14. Was going to wait for all results to come in ( Apparently a week is allowed in the past ). It is a draw at the moment ( and I can't see anyone else booking any more fish in ). Peter Russell Snr and Martin Burt will have to have a duel to decide who has won the helicopter flight.
  15. Agree with all that Duncan, but worth remebering as Kam says that up to
  16. I think most people anchor right in the ledge itself but a tripped anchor ( ie. one set to trip ) is a must. I lost my first anchor on my first trip there. Learnt how tyo trip an anchor and ( tempting fate here ) haven't lost one since - although came close a couple of times
  17. Dan, That's posh compared to PJ's groundbait ( I will stop my quips here though as at least his worked on Sunday ! )
  18. Just bear in mind that customs charges are something like 6% plus VAT at 17.5% and they are on the price including P&P. Even after this many items can still work out cheaper from the states than purchased locally. ( with the nearly 2$ to the
  19. Tomo, If it was Basmati rice then it was mine ( PJ wasn't allowed to use his wife's expensive rice ) Definitely works though ( although not for my boat yesterday ). I dropped in some ground bait and 1 min later watched the boat behind us haul up a bream. Repeated this feat around 3 or 4 times. Dont have the flashy bait dropper in use by Marineboy's team but the tesco carrier bag trick worked fine. My groundbait mix was rice, mackeral, squid and some tropical fish pellets Boat at Wick had around 30 bream ( onboard )
  20. Martin, What odds would you have given me that Pete Russel Snr would catch one exactly the same size and strangely using the same method. Both are only 2oz short of the club record as well.
  21. Carl, No problem - we had the same to record on Neo ( one bream of 2lb 5oz )

    First Comp

Was his use of the Alderney ring similar to how I showed you
  23. Only 3 boats so far have fish recorded for the Specimen Comp. Frontrunner is Martin Burt with what is amost a club record Undulate Ray Next comp we will need at least 6 boats booked in as it is a BFM comp.

    Mudeford Bar

Yes - noticed that the entrance to the run ( coming in from the sea ) was somewhat shallow - we had 1.9ft reading and the boat which I was behind was digging up sand. ( Managed to polish the paint off my skeg in the harbour coming in today ).
  25. 6 bream - we had a solitary one and lost one in the rocks. The boat to the side of us had around 50 odd.....
