Drove along the east cliff on my way home from Dean Court saturday night and it looked perfect conditions with good moonlight and fireworks. Hopefully cover boy J2 will appear below....

Didn't realise it was this weekend Jerry. Got non-member friends out with us so unlikely to be fishing much. -
Happy birthday Jerry, have a great day 🍻

Happy birthday Martin!

You're welcome Greg. Glad you like the new boat....it's nice to be able to put your feet up whilst waiting for a bite! Fish goujons for tea 😋

We went to the Sadler and had a steady flow of whiting. Not many keepers amongst them though. Pout and a few dogfish but surprisingly no conger. The ebb tide this afternoon did slow down the catch rate once it got going. Not many others out there.

Yes, I'm hoping to come. Jerry's was the first offer so I'll take that thank you.
-
Might see you out there Charlie. Greg joining me and will be going out on the 8.30 Bridge.
-
Hoping to get out Saturday or Sunday whichever is lighter winds. It's a big tide though. what area would you go to get out of the worst of the ebb tide?

Belated happy birthday Mal, hope you had a good one.

'Well his boats on fire and he's only got an 8" landing net.......and look at the state of his coffee mug!!' were my first words to Chris (my son) when stepping on board Loobie IIII. Luckily the smoke turned out to be the cabin heating firing up for the first time this autumn and the landing net turned out to be for the live bait tank (what do we know!! 😂). A kind invite from Jerry saw us on C pontoon for 7am Saturday. A glorious morning with much lighter winds than forecast.....t shirt weather by about 11am. What a boat! I had to keep checking we were actually doing 20knots as it felt so smooth and quiet. We headed out for a drift for bass in swanage bay but things weren't happening and what wind there was was over tide making it lumpy. So plan B and anchoring on a bank for the morning. Once the tide turned we had a steady flow of species......8 in total. The best being bream to 2lb 1oz and smoothhound to 6lb 2oz. A move after lunch took us to another bank and Jerry taught us the fine art of uptiding which produced a number of rays, not weighed but the best probably around 10lb. It was probably an average day for you Jerry but it was a great one for us so thank you very much for the invite. If you'll have us back I promise Chris won't wash your reels down with the salt water hose or spill coffee granules everywhere 🤣

Wow! Well done 👏 What sort of speed were you drifting?

We're hoping to go out tomorrow but fingers crossed on the wind forecast. This evening looks flatter......does anyone know what's flying this evening and times?

Thanks for your message Jim. Mike, I bought it from Jim but had trouble with software etc etc (probably just me being a numpty) but haven't had time to try again getting it set up. Would pass it on for what I paid if you're interested.
