Thanks for sharing that Martin. Good to see a 9.30pm lift in there.

A game of two halves for us today. Some mackerel, plaice and bream on our way out then we went to move and the starter motor failed! Tow home from sea start....what a good service they provide!

We're planning to go out on 6am bridge probably try a long drift round to swanage

Yes there's always that to tell the grandchildren about one day! Might have added a second club record today if I'd had some scales with me....a big fat silver eel around the 2 lb mark.

Thanks that's more useful than Greg's comments.....but good to know I'm still young!😀

Would this apply to multipliers as well? I often get line snagged in mine. It somehow forms a loop and it then passes through the loop and jams up. Must be doing something wrong. Any ideas?

Happy birthday Jerry!

Hi Ben, I don't know much about trim tabs or prop pitch but I would have thought you should be getting 20kts plus out of that as it is. I have the same engine in a MF 805 and that just nudges 20kts at full throttle (no trim tabs). Hope that's of some use to you.

The closest I'll get to a fish this month

I see there was a slight hint of 'rewarding our loyalty' in MDLs email yesterday but only after all this has blown over. That'll be a another free set of plastic plates then! -

No, safest if you stay on your side of the bridge Greg, leaving Sandbanks to us locals 😄 -

It was a bit misty looking the other way, but you can just about make out the twin sails....stuck in the upright position as usual! -

If you zoom into the shallows there are loads of small mullet. Absolutely flat out there this morning but at least the fish are having a rest from us lot! Before anyone shoots me down, the photo was taken responsibly whilst out in my local area for my daily quota of exercise, wearing gloves etc etc

🤣🤣 If you want a giggle; 12 of the finest (unintentional) double-entendres ever aired on TV and Radio 1. Ted Walsh - Horse Racing Commentator – 'This is really a lovely horse. I once rode her mother.' 2. New Zealand Rugby Commentator – 'Andrew Mehrtens loves it when Daryl Gibson comes inside of him.' 3. Pat Glenn, weightlifting commentator – 'And this is Gregoriava from Bulgaria .. I saw her snatch this morning and it was amazing!' 4. Harry Carpenter at the Oxford-Cambridge boat race 1977 – 'Ah, isn't that nice.. The wife of the Cambridge President is kissing the Cox of the Oxford crew..' 5. US PGA Commentator – 'One of the reasons Arnie (Arnold Palmer) is playing so well is that, before each tee shot, his wife takes out his balls and kisses them ........ Oh my god !! What have I just said??' 6. Carenza Lewis about finding food in the Middle Ages on 'Time Team Live' said: 'You'd eat beaver if you could get it.' 7. A female news anchor who, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked, 'So Bob, where's that eight inches you promised me last night?' Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too, because they were laughing so hard! 8. Steve Ryder covering the US Masters: 'Ballesteros felt much better today after a 69 yesterday.' 9. Clair Frisby talking about a jumbo hot dog on Look North said: 'There's nothing like a big hot sausage inside you on a cold night like this. ' 10 Mike Hallett discussing missed snooker shots on Sky Sports: 'Stephen Hendry jumps on Steve Davis's misses every chance he gets.' 11. Michael Buerk on watching Philippa Forrester cuddle up to a male astronomer for warmth during BBC1's UK eclipse coverage remarked: 'They seem cold out there, they're rubbing each other and he's only come in his shorts.' 12. Ken Brown commentating on golfer Nick Faldo and his caddie Fanny Sunneson lining-up shots at the Scottish Open: 'Some weeks Nick likes to use Fanny, other weeks he prefers to do it by himself.'

I tried all sorts on my old boat but nothing really wanted to stick. Now I just polish the prop really well and it doesn't really get fouled up. After 6 months in the water it comes out with a light layer of crud which can be lightly sanded back then polished. Much cheaper too!

Just phoned Cobbs. They say the twin sails is back working today after the roadwork contractors managed to cut through the main electric supply from the Poole side!! Unbelievable. Beware....old bridge will be lifting first then the twin sails...then the old bridge again (regardless of time of day etc)

Anybody know if it's back working on a normal bank holiday schedule today? Can't see any update on their web page. Currently spitting feathers into my cornflakes having just read the posts from yesterday and with a trip out planned today.
