  1. Jack, we anglers have buckets full of patience. If it were that easy, it wouldnt be called fishing, it would be called catching!! Dont give up. Rich PS..........The bass in my picture was borrowed from Jimbob
  2. Those mackeral are a bugger to light, especially in anything over a force three Rich

  4. Welcome aboard Sheddy.....looked at your forum, it looks good m8 Rich
  5. alun, arent triggers more prolific towards the end of summer? August/sept time? Rich

My monies on a met balloon.
  7. Munter, I have been using the Vanish fleuro, and have found no probs with knot strength, landing fair sized smoothies out east, and a half decent thornback in tide, so my answer there is no. I think that the teklon fluero is a better line, but havent tested it that much yet. It may be prudent to start a fleuro thread and see other forum members findings. Rich
  8. Cracking day lads, nice one. I'm even more envious I couldnt get out! Rich
  9. welcome aboard Dave. Rich
  10. Kam, if you stick to storm lures in one box, jellies in another, etc etc, I find that they keep for years. I have jellies I bought at a boat jumble four years ago, they are still fine. I keep all mine in seperate boxes, kindly supplied by my local chinese take away............no wonder I'm a fat boy! If you need replacements Kam, I have packs of jellies, and two sizes of stormies left from last years States trip, and as I'm off back over there very shortly, I can top up on replacements, Rich
  11. Muchos gracias....... Rich
  12. Just call it a day off James! good tally all the same...what points did u manage to squeak?
  13. Kam, I drifted the mussel beds last week with BB, we used rag worm as bait, and a little squid, but thin cuttle would have worked. We had bass, pollack, bream, pout, untill the tide went, so the fish are there! Better luck next time. Rich
  14. Well done Dave!
  15. Adam, many of the fluerocarbon lines have differing "invisibility", as some are only a certain percentage fluero. I believe there are only a couple of truly 100% fleuro lines available. That said, I have changed over to fleuro lines, about eight months ago, and have seen a remarkable increase in my carch rate, and general fishing ability. That said, there is still room for drastic improvement!!!! <gg> Rich
  16. Tight lines lads...stay safe Rich
  17. Just collected these cuttles from Kam, they are superb! About the same size as AMMO ones, I think there were about 36 in the bag, so that is well reasonable, as far as the price goes! Lets hope I can catch with them!! I reckon half a head will snag the old ray a treat! I guess an eye on the catch reports will show! Thanks Kam, Rich
  18. Are you guys decided on a date yet? I am able to crew Thursday, unfortunately, its sisters and mums B day on the wed, so a meal out that day, big sis on sat, so cant do the BBQ either The kids fly back early o clock on friday, and wasting zero time, I'm out with BB on a comp later that day! Tight lines if I'm unable to crew. Rich
  19. Nice one Sam!
  20. Excellent catch report Adam, the bass boys are catching some decent stuff out there at present, just shows the pleasure anglers know how! Rich
  21. Peter, does the lower hook by the anal fin have to be a finer hook? Rich
  22. Kam, if you keep your eyes peeled on storm prices, Weymouth Angling were offering a three for two offer, which beat our oringinal best offer, so it was prudent to buy sandeels at these prices. Some shops will say they pricematch, but Poindestres are notorious for saying, "Oh we cant match that!" So its best to keep your eyes on ads in mags etc, trying to entice anglers to bite! Rich PS I still have a few packs of storm lures, 5" and 4" shads at
  23. Adam, are you using multipliers or fixed spools? Also, circles still? You shouldnt be missing these bass, as they are ferocious in their feeding habits. Our Police trip off the back was fairly pants, no bass, a few Ray, conger and other small stuff. I havent heard of any substantial catches in the past couple of weeks. Rich
  24. Billy, Ive already got you in mind for some of mine The lads fly home next friday, so I'll bring them down with me, frozen, for our friday comp, with Colin P next friday mate. Regards, Rich
  25. Mike.....sometimes the shinyest of buttons, fail to hold a shirt closed! Its whats under the bonnet! Rich
