  1. Les......are you using the glow in the dark lures?? If not, grab a few of those snap and use once tip lights, down on the terminal gear. They also work well when used on flounder rigs. Rich
  2. Would think that the site clock must be set for 12hr as the pm is shown.....as opposed to 0240 am. Still a good number vsiting though............I just woner how many advert clicks were done by members?? I do forget to do this myself...but we need those clicks guys!!! Rich

Mono also stops the whole line load spinning on the spool. No matter how tight u secure a packing on the spool, with the way that braid tightens inder load, it can spin the backing on the spool. Mono reduces this enourmously. Rich

Aditionally, dont waste pennies on 300 m spools of braid. Use a 150 m spool...then remove it after year one and re wind it back on...back to front. You wil very rarely be fishing in depths where 300m of braid is fished, hence a waste of pennies. Hope this helps. Rich

  11. Hi guys, just to let you know, the weymouth festival is this coming weekend, fishing sat sun and I think...monday. If you are thinking of a weymouth launch for the flattie comp, why not try the festival?? I will be fishing it sat on a charter, then meeting Mark B down there for the comp on sunday, hopefully to blag a late Turbot or Brill, although its not fishing brillinatly on the banks. Rich
  12. Paul, I have a gash six foot 12lb class rod, its yours for free chap. It isnt an all singing all dancing model, but has served me well over the past five years, Ive upgraded to a few new ugly sticks. I also have a 20lb class that is going begging, brand new, for a donation of a few quid to club funds, you can have the pair. Message me if interested, I'll drop them down at Mark B's, who lives in Poole, this weekend when we fish the flattie comp. Im sorry but I havent spare reels, but see allun J on here, he will sort you out with an ABU6500 I'm sure, for a reasonable price. Rich
  13. Peter, amend the drawings to drop the next craft below the limit. With the question of Angling in the Uk now making a showing during question time, in the House of Commons,I'm afraid we will see more of this sort of thing, basically testing issues so that test cases can be made, and easy fines dished out. The rules are there for everyone to read. If you have a vessel of x meters, you need to gen up on the rules for that size of vessel If you breach the rules, then you may expect a visit. It goes back to the old saying, if you fly with the crows, some day you get shot! Rich
  14. Rob, Andy, agreed the slips are either cheap or decent.......the fishing grounds in a resonable steaming distabce are pants!!!! You may as well launch down magazine lane in marchwood and try for late small rays or soles........or early flatties. Fishing there is dire compared to other areas!!! Trust me! Rich
  15. Harry, take it from a local, launching from Lymo is by far the better option against the Hamble. You still have a fair old steam to get to decent fishing grounds. I would stick with Lymington and either Poole or weymouth. These launch sites far out fish either of the Hamble slips. Rich
  16. LOL.....cheers guys, now get out there and keep the pbsbac flag flying in this comp........I want you guys at the prize table.......especially master FOX!!!!!Fish to win! Tight lines today guys, will try and make the weigh in. Rich

    Any Help Lads

excellent thornie Thomo, well done. Nice bass also, for the area.
  22. Just a thought Paul, rare from me ....I know!! When is Bob F next off stateside?? If you want, I'll askin BASS to see when one of those players is over there next, they tend to be frequent flyers!! Maybe post the engine model and serial number, Rich
  23. Many wise words here......Martin, are we able to invite a fugure head from the NFSA along to a club meeting, to give some sort of presentation to an affiliate??? Then, we may actually get an understanding of wehat actually goes on in the higher echelons. I grinned slightly when I read mike fox's Toothless Tigers remark...which was my thinking exactly. Unfortunately, we are going along these lines in all walks of life, with comunity support officers, more special constabluary etc etc...no one to actually do the job in question. My thoughts are, that if an invite was extended, it would be swerved to send a minion, so exact views and standings are not extended to our membership. Rich
  24. option 3 here too, Martin. Rich
  25. The winners of course Terry!!! Hope all is well...when are u considering trailing down again??? Rich
