Tom If you had a gas fired central heating system with trv's on all radiators (except by pass rad) and a wall mounted thermostat in either the hall or lounge our advice would be: so boiler doesn't constantly click on and off turn the wall mounted thermostat up to full. If you don't do this your boiler will stop supplying heating as soon as the room with the thermostat is up to temperature meaning other areas of the house maybe left cold. You then rely on your trv's to regulate individual room temperatures. . If you do this you must remember to keep doors closed or you will be heating all areas at the temperature you have set on your highest set trv. Your boiler once up to temperature is only topping up the heat loss in the water temperature. Once the rooms are up to temperature the boiler will cut in and out keeping your central heating water heat topped up. There maybe a temperature setting on the boiler that you may be able to turn down slightly Also remember your boiler if heating up your hot water supply you might just as well heat up your radiators as this will take very little extra energy I guess an oil fired system works in a similar way If you need anything clarifying give us a call Martin

read it very carefully, you can only answer once Time For Your Annual Test for Dementia... Below are four (4 ) questions and a bonus question. You have to answer them instantly. You can't take your time, answer all of them immediately. OK? Let's find out just how clever you really are.... Ready? GO!!! =========== First Question: You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Answer: If you answered that you are first, then you are absolutely wrong! If you overtake the second person, you take his place, so you are second! Try not to screw up next time. Now answer the second question, but don't take as much time as you took for the first one, OK ? =========== Second Question: If you overtake the last person, then you are...? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Answer:If you answered that you are second to last, then you are wrong again. Tell me, how can you overtake the LAST Person? You're not very good at this, are you? =========== Third Question: Very tricky arithmetic! Note: This must be done in your head only. Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator. Try it. Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000 . Now add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000 Now add 10 . What is the total? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Did you get 5000 ? The correct answer is actually 4100. If you don't believe it, check it with a calculator! Today is definitely not your day, is it? Maybe you'll get the last question right.......Maybe. =========== Fourth Question: Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini, 4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Did you Answer Nunu? NO! Of course it isn't. Her name is Mary. Read the question again! =========== Okay, now the bonus round: A mute person goes into a shop and wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing his teeth he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is done. Next, a blind man comes into the shop who wants to buy a pair of sunglasses; how does HE indicate what he wants? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ He just has to open his mouth and ask... It's really very simple.... Like you! PASS THIS ON TO FRUSTRATE THE SMART PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE!

Point taken Tom but we (the club) are not recommending them, I am as a user. The only benefit the club receives is a small amount of sponsorship for the advert they place on our site and as an advertiser they might like some feedback as to where their customers come from hence my asking to mention the club. Regards speed of claims: on the receipt of final invoice sent via email on the wednesday I received a cheque in settlement on the Friday of the same week, pretty impressive and should they be a little more expensive I believe the peace of mind is worth a small extra premium Also whoever you insure with ask them to include the channel islands and France etc (if thats what you want). Usually this can be included at very little or no extra cost. Also if someone else is likely to skipper the boat at any point put their name/s on the application form again very little or no extra cost but needs to be written in Martin

Dennis Our club website sponsors Craftinsure are very good and I can also vouch for their swift service in settling claims If you decide to use them please use the link on our home page and also make them aware that you are using them after a reccomendation from the club Martin
