Rob today was the only day Dean and I could get out so today it was, the downside being we ended up fishing the harbour. We had mackerel and bass so not a blank. I did loose a very good fish. First bite and my rod was going mental picked it up and could feel the weight of a good fish which was also taking line then gone. Reeled in only to find my 2/0 hook had partially straightened out which obviously allowed the fish to bounce off, I would have loved to have seen what it was or rather what size bass it was. I will also stop buying cheap hooks Never mind we had the cobwebs blown away and we weren't at work

Neil I don't know if its across the board. I have heard of a few people that have asked the question at cobbs and all got the same answer open as normal but then, the boatyard next door said they would remain open unless the police knocked on their door and told them to close so I guess cobbs may have felt obliged -

Jerry apparently Cobb's are not closing the marina and are continuing to work as per normal. The only thing that may stop us using our boats is PHC or bridge lifts -
Happy birthday Pete

Covid 19 Update 31st October ? Good Evening all, I wanted to update you on the latest changes at MDL Marinas following the Prime Minister’s announcement on the evening of 31st October. Like all businesses, MDL is committed to protecting its staff, tenants and berth holders during the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, in line with the new UK Government restrictions; from Thursday 5th November we have all been instructed to stay at home - to protect the NHS and save lives. People will only be allowed to leave their home for very limited purposes. · for education · for work, if you cannot work from home · for exercise and recreation outdoors · for medical reasons · to shop for food and essentials · to care for others Please rest assured that my team are looking after the safety and security of your boat while you are at home. Please connect to your marina’s Facebook pages to stay updated and use our COVID – 19 updates on our website. We will continue to monitor the Government guidance closely converting the guidelines into practical advice for those who have to work on MDL sites. We will also seek clarity on the Governments definition of “recreation outdoors” in the coming days and will update our website accordingly. We’re balancing keeping people healthy, keeping people working and always keeping people’s boats safe. For now, If you have already booked your winter lift out or are expecting your boat to go back in during the coming weeks, your lift will go ahead as normal. If the Government guidance changes we will contact you personally to make arrangements for you and your boat. Our dedicated teams remain on hand to assist with your questions however please bear with them as they adjust once again to new restrictions and different ways of working. Remember at any time of day or night you can also use our centrally managed enquiry forms to ask us any questions Thank you for your ongoing support by following the Governments guidance. Best wishes and most importantly, please stay safe. Michael Glanville Managing Director
