Yes it was me that responded to you however wasn't fishing as had the grandchildren aboard all wanting to swim
-
Was it you that came behind Madness in Studland on Saturday? If so you should have shouted out for a coffee, a chat or something stronger :-) If it was it's a nice looking boat you have
-
the thing is it maybe flat when you first go out but weather can deteriorate really quickly. Don’t forget the affect tides can have on the water especially with wind against tide. A prime example is the swash channel with an flood tide running with easterly winds can be comfortable. When you return from wherever you have been the same easterly wind against an Edd tide could be horrible

Bayliner sold off the Trophy mark years ago. The original Bayliner trophies were lower quality but the newer Trophy (without bayliner prefix) are much better Personally I love that style of boat even with covers. I used to own a Karnic 2460 with covers and she looked after us in all weathers That boat is quite a bit larger than you're looking at but they do a 2260 which is smaller and outboard powered, maybe worth a look. Personally I would not buy a bowrider for fishing as in the rough stuff everything that comes over the bow would go throughout the boat also not a lot of protection for inclement weather. Exciting times especially when the wife takes an interest. Good hunting and do, as you move along the purchasing bus ask all the questions you have here. There's more experience in the club than you could shake a stick at :-)

You lucky boy Terry, another toy to play with. you'll soon need a bigger pram lol

Jerry, no thanks I'll wait until you have perfected the design and have your new one

They could have Charlie but he kept muttering about how expensive it would be and that it would cost lots and they were busy and and, so I got the impression he wasn't interested. I'm guessing he saw I had work clothes on and judged I couldn't afford his services, his loss someone else's gain

Just a thought, we have all been going down the cable theory route but do you think chain might work instead of wire? After all we are only trying to get a swivel to turn the anchor the right way BTW Charlie called in to see XP rigging and they were not interested although he did point me elsewhere
-
Allan thanks for the kind offer but apart from Madness being out of action I had already made evening arrangements for sat. Would love to some other time
-
Hum this is something I have been wanting to try but never got around to and now Madness is broke. She has no juice and am awaiting the return of my alternator which is being rewound

Hi Adam I am very interested in making a trip up to Portland this year however I can't do next weekend but going forward would be interested in going there either on our own or with others. Also there is a proposed WSF meet at Portland starting the weekend of the 29th August. I have been watching this evolve but as yet not put my name down for it but weather permitting would do that WSF meet
