  1. Mike You pen the letters and I will forward them in the name of a local club representing over 90 boat owners belonging to a club with a membership of over 150 with all the associtated hangers on who all have a vote!! Martin Ps we could maybe get Poole sea angling assocoation to respond as well but more about that at our next club meeting
  2. Yes please Terry I will obviously pay my share Cheers Martin
  3. Dan All to do with the dredging of Poole Harbour and the beach replenishment scheme. They mix sand with water and pump it onto the beach through hte long pipe Martin
  4. When will commercials learn that fishing the way they are at the moment is not sustainable Martin
  5. Nice one James My reply has gone in Martin
  6. Must prove the point that yachties don't always have right of way Martin
  7. The main point here is you appear to have checked your plot line and found that your anchor was not dragging. So that would indicate the answer given by Simon (blueboatdriver) and Gordon H are correct. These electronic bits of kit are brilliant but when your stationary are not 100% . Take for example when you first move off from a stationary position, it may take a couple or three seconds for your gps to calculate your heading and give you the correct info but once you are moving they are pretty much spot on BTW John why not register in the forum, it costs you nothing and gives you more access to the site. Martin
  8. Hi all Were in the BFM again. WEll done Adam The word is spreading we are the best small boat A/C by far Martin
  9. Tom You have a way to go yet, next step up at 300 posts and then 1000 posts before the last jump up Martin
  10. Balcocks! yep it should be
  11. Mike I will always accept help from willing volunteers but would appreciate either running correspondence past either Tony or myself first. Please word it that you are writing on behalf of the club Martin
  12. try using hooks with bait on
  13. For those that intend to go I had an email from Jake @ Salt-x who asked me to let you all know that his company will be at the Gofishing show this year stand C55 next to the casting pool, Salt-x are one of the sponsors of our site Club members look under members only section for details of a club discount Martin
  14. Phill Quality issues aside I feel that pilot house boats of this size are trying to be to clever and dont really achieve any of what they set out to do. They all look pretty and shiny but are to small to be a cruiser with not enough cockpit space to be a respectable fisher. You may be better reviewing what you want a boat for, set your priorities and then make a choice. Martin
  15. Martin, just a small point, I think you meant "top right". Brian Almost left of the panel of butons on the top right of every post..sorry Martin
  16. Hi Phil The Alderney trip is at the beginning of May and is unfortunately now full. In the past we have had two boats going over but due to lack of interest this year we cut it back to one boat. The club is a small boat-angling club so do not normally get involved in arranging charters. We do however have plenty of trailaways that you are more than welcome on. Have a look at trip planning and put your name down for any trips you
  17. Hi all I had occasion today to remove a post put on here by someone that thought they could get exposure to their site and products. Private ads are fine under the appropriate heading (swap and shop). Trade links are ok if put on as an information service but blatant ads from companies are a definite no no. Yes we have trade adds on here but these companies and individuals are paying for the privilege, support the club and keep this site free for members and other's to use If any member or user sees an advert or inappropriate material posted then please hit the report button located top left of every post, the admin team will then take appropriate action. Thanks for your help Martin
  18. aayy, pardon, what was that you said
  19. Charlie For cutting back I use Farcela G3 compound, its available at SMC Ashley Road. Then buff up with a good quality wax. Bob's Boats, commercial road used to have coloured gelcoat, would assume they still do. Martin
  20. Hi Phil Firstly welcome to the club. I have just updated your status on the forum so you now have access to all areas. I do not have much experience at wreck fishing but I,m sure others will point you in the right direction. Martin
  21. Hi Andy Fixed is the way to go as posted by Mike and Paul above. No need to worry about security as it does only take a minute or two to remove your fixed set. I shouldnt think many members leave any of htere electrical equipment on board. Martin
  22. What are you trying to say Paul

  24. Charlie I'm clueless about electrics but I did have a chap rewire my boat which now has circuit breakers 2 bats and lots of toys. I live not to far from you. Your more than welcome to come and have a look at how this electrician did mine. I think it must be somewhere near how it should be as he fits the eletrics on larger craft for a living. Pm me if your interested and I will send you my address Martin
