  5. I have just phoned ofcom for the details of how to get a group mmsi number and the very nice chap there told me we need to put together a list of: Boat Names and owners names + existing vessel mmsi numbers They will then issue one free of charge. This can all be done via email and the list of members can be updated as and when we want via email all foc Bob if you put the required info together and email it to joseph.darrell@ofcom.org.uk with a little covering letter that will be it sorted. Martin

Hi Martin Firstly welcome to our club site which as you have found out is probably the best small boat club forum on the net if you register you will be able to post in all the forum headings that you can see. There are areas reserved for club members only but what the eye doesn
  14. Cheers Alun hope your extended bank holiday was better than mine: Worked friday, beat up on the shambles on Saturday, laying the remainder of her patio (well almost all) on Sunday and a bl@@dy extended bike ride with ere indoors today, wonderful Will be good to get back to near normality Martin
  15. But Tom you asked for it...or was it Mike I'll let you sweat it out for a day or two Martin
  16. LOL thanks Trevor same to you m8y Martin
  17. Today was definitely hard work for very little reward. Decidedly rough first thing with wind against tide and it got worse with the wind taking the tops of the waves yuk. The tide eased and it quietened down a fair bit but still not comfortable. Deans final tally was 3 plaice and two Pollock with me bagging just 1 plaice, 1 Pollock, 1 mackerel and 1 launce (well got to make it sound good). We finished off in the Spyglass for a nice cold beer, definitely the best drift of the day and no white water there just white froth on the beer Martin
  18. Nice report Dave but a shame about the fish See you at Weymouth Martin
  19. Damn you Kam you found my shed Martin
  20. I used to keep a boat at Mitchells we never attempted to leave or return with 1.5 hours either side of low water(well we did but frequently got stuck), Even then you have to ensure you are bang in the channel. Course a good skipper would have consulted his almanac, tide book and any other resources available to save the embarrassment of having a seconder for the proposal to rename him mudhopper I'll second that emotion BTW congratulations Mark on getting your new Boat. I hope you have many pleasurable (and fishfull) years with her. Martin
  21. Andy Dean and I will be out on Maverick. Havent worked out times yet but would expect to go out early and return whenever Martin
  22. Better start praying for better weather then
  23. Well done to both Billy and Rich Martin
  24. Tom Do the guy a favour and sell in on commission basis for him,,,,you'll never want for fruit and veg Martin
  25. Mark I use a 7.5 kilo bruce on my Warrior 195 (6 metre) and think this size would be more than sufficient on a 5.8 merry fisher. I very rarely encounter problems just make sure you have an adequate length of chain Martin
