Kam The first digits in the series is the amount of revolutions the spool will turn and the last is how many times the handle has to be turned to get those revolutions so: 3.6 revolutions of your spool is achieved with 1 turn of your handle 4.1 revolutions of your spool is achieved with 1 turn of the handle 5.0 revolutions of your spool is achieved with 1 turn of the handle etc etc The fastest speed is the more revolutions of the spool per turn of the handle so from the above examples the last one 5.1:1 is the fastest Martin

I think your mad going to other sites you should have come here first Seriously though not a lot I can add other than if its a new bit of kit then for peace of mind spend the money, have it fitted then no chance of problems with the warranty if needed later (if you keep to the service schedule that is). If its second hand and you can pick up a spanner the correct way and use a screw driver competently then save some money and fit it yourself as any warranty will be very limited and you may need the money later should any problems arise with the engine.   15. Nice write up Bob I would agree it was a perfect day, brilliant weeather, great company and thoroughly enjoyable. Even Missus B said it was a nice day and that we must do it again so must of been good. A little late for another this summer but maybe we can arrange two or three for next summer Martin

  21. A few of us are going out on Sunday to either the back of Brownsea, up South deep or maybe Studland depending on weather of course. The intention is to drop the hook and raft up, have a picnic and perhaps a bottle of wine or a couple of beers and socialise.
