  1. Works for me Paul You must have a glitch....better get a pc wizard in to sort out your M/C Martin
  2. Matt Nice day to be afloat and glad you had a good day. Shame they never took a photo of you with your fish but there you go their ego will be bolstered with your fish Will they even mention the club or will it just be a write up on their day afloat ? Probably the latter I guess, never mind from our point of view Sea Angler Magazine is the poor relation to Boat Fishing Magazine! Martin
  3. Hi Pinafore Nice report, glad you and the boys caught some fish, nothing like a mackerel or two to keep kids interested. Reference sounder/plotter a lot depends on your budget. The southampton boat show is next month, decide what you want before you go and you may just be able to do a deal and nab a bargain Barbless hooks? use your pliers to flatten the barbs on your hooks and they become barbless Martin
  4. Mike None of those areas fall within the bass nursey area except maybe wills cut, not 100% sure where that is? Martin
  5. Dan You have a PM Martin

  7. Jack It might be an idea to run adaware as posted by Paul. It is very easy to use and is almost fool/dinasaur proof I just ran it on mine and found 321 needless beasties and deleted the lot. I would however advise against using the hijack program unless you are up to speed with computer bits and pieces. Delete the wrong thing with this program and that could be the end of your machine without pro help Martin
  8. Jack Phone him and you can pick eels up from his boat in fishermans dock Martin
  9. Jack Where in the harbour were they fishing? if it was roughly south of the castle then they are breaking no byelaws as you are allowed to target bass in this area. Read "animals" post under the link I posted earlier and it gives you the exact areas of the nursery area it should be correct he is a fisheries officer. Martin
  10. Happy birthday Trev...another year older but when you gonna get wiser Martin
  11. Dan How big is your boat? what engine? anything uder 16' is pushing your luck although one member (Domino) does venture around there in a warrior 150 without to much trouble. When the tide is running the overfalls at Portland can be large even on a calm day. For safety if your unsure I would suggest you try and get a space crewing on a slightly larger boat But at the end of the day the decision lies with you Martin
  12. Jack I am no computer wizard but I understand that cookies are a little item that helps sites you visit track your activity on their site. Cookies can help speed up your interaction with sites you visit regularly. They can though as you have found out slow your machine and in extreme cases cause pc's to crash. It is good practice to clear your cookies on a regular basis. To do this open internet explorer, at the top of the page click on tools, go to the bottom of the drop down list and click on internet options a new page will open. In the middle of that box you will see something called Delete cookies, you could also click on delete files and near the bottom of that page clear history and thats it. Hope this helps Martin
  13. Jack have a look at this http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/forum/index.php?sh...1617&hl=nursery Martin
  14. Jack On a boat your size I would imagine you have more than one battery. If you have 2 batteries there will also be a battery switch somewhere. Get into the habit of starting and running hte boat to the mark on all batteries then switch over to either battery one or battery two. This way you should always have a fully charged battery for starting your engine. I do this on Maverick and have never had a problem and I can't remember having to resort to using the fully charged battery even when running the deckwash/bait pump most of the day Martin
  15. Terry Will let you know if I am pleased after using it a few times and yes there is plenty of room in the wallet for moths now Hi Carl I have a Warrior 195 and the trailer is the Super Roller coaster R/C 6.50 as you say they look the dogs doo dahs Martin
  16. Steve You would be more than welcome to come along with us, look forward to meeting you Martin
  17. Went to Indespension in Poole today to see if the new trailer I ordered had come in. I must have had a premonition as it arrived this morning. I knew the new trailer was beefier than my old one but it looks absolutely huge in comparison. Everything is so much more substantial than the old Rapide trailer, the frame, rollers winch post, winch the lot. Just hope the van tows it ok. Will soon see as I intend to transfer the boat over on Saturday morning. Martin
  18. Only when we all shout together Martin
  19. NATIONAL FEDERATION OF Sea Anglers electronic memo TO ALL MEMBERS WHO are able to accept INFORMATION BY Electronic-MAIL from: NFSA head office subject: SEA ANGLERS HELP FORCE A CLIMB DOWN of a COMMERCIAL TOPE & SHARK FISHING PROPOSAL. date: 10/08/2005 In line with our policy of circulating members by E-MAIL with IMPORTANT information on the work of the federation. Please find the following update:- ----------------------------------------------------------- Dear valued Member Re:- Climb down by a commercial fishing operation who we are assured have decided to abandon their project to kill thousands of tope and shark Many members will have read in the National and Angling Press about the proposal to start a commercial fishery initially on the east coast of England to target tope and other sharks for the purpose of removing and selling their fins to the far east for shark fin soup. This may well be a popular delicacy for those who have no scruples but the NFSA is totally against this practice which targets a species that is already under considerable threat, a position supported by environmentalists and the Shark Trust who have along with us raised the profile in the National Press and to Government to such an extent that the project has been abandoned. This proves the value of communication and the need for all sea angler to join together to protect the resources which are its lifeblood. The best way of helping us to do this is for you to persuade your friends to join the NFSA to help fight for your interests and this can be done by contacting the NFSA Office by email on ho@nfsa.org.uk or telephone on 01364 644643 or Fax 01364 644486 for an application form. Members who are especially interested in the work of our Conservation & Access Group, are encouraged to support its dedicated fund to assist this area of work and all anglers are invited to subscribe to this fund by sending donations to the NFSA Conservation Fund at the Head Office. Regards and thank you David Rowe NFSA Development Officer
  20. Without the engine turned on I presume Martin
  21. If your engine is getting revs but the prop isn't moving much it may mean the propellors bush has gone. Propellor revolutions at Cobbs Quay can fit new bushes Martin
