If you buy Spiderwire make sure its not the fusion stuff (there are several different types of spiderwire) as this stuff is as thick as wire. The proper braid is good stuff though Martin
  8. Cheers Mike I'll keep that in mind next time I'm being chased

  13. Regarding screen sizes, in this case big is definitely beautiful , less redrawing and more detail on screen. Black and white versus colour I would say no contest, I have regretted getting b&w although the set I have is a great improvement on my previous gps which by the way I kept as a back up and still use regularly At the end of the day you pays yer money and makes your choice. All will do the job its just that some are nicer and easier to use than others Try http://www.redcar-fish.co.uk maybe not the cheapest but they are very helpful with good after sales support Martin
  14. Adam I spoke to Eddie (Pink Squid) on Sunday and he said he would be interested in coming with us to Weymouth. I'll phone him a little nearer the time to relay times etc as he hasn't access to the web. Martin

  21. and I prefer Ponderosa all you can eat ummmmmmmm yum yum
  22. Its official Weymouth is cancelled due to weather. As the forecast our end is slightly better I shall now be fishing out of Poole on saturday. Martin
  23. I am easy for anyday, anyplace, anytime I just need to wet a line Easterly winds are no good for fishing wemouth or poole as no shelter available at either location so it looks like sunday is out at those locations. Westerley winds as forecast for sat are a possibility as shelter available at both ports but I dont fancy travelling all the way to weymouth for small pollock, pout and wrasse when I could catch that inshore from Poole Any other thoughts Martin
  24. Adam I can go either day if the weather permits Martin
  25. As long as the forecast doesn't get worse than a s/w 3/4 then Maverick will go as planned, even if we have to find shelter closer inshore. Martin
