  6. Its official Weymouth is cancelled due to weather. As the forecast our end is slightly better I shall now be fishing out of Poole on saturday. Martin
  7. I am easy for anyday, anyplace, anytime I just need to wet a line Easterly winds are no good for fishing wemouth or poole as no shelter available at either location so it looks like sunday is out at those locations. Westerley winds as forecast for sat are a possibility as shelter available at both ports but I dont fancy travelling all the way to weymouth for small pollock, pout and wrasse when I could catch that inshore from Poole Any other thoughts Martin
  8. Adam I can go either day if the weather permits Martin
  9. As long as the forecast doesn't get worse than a s/w 3/4 then Maverick will go as planned, even if we have to find shelter closer inshore. Martin
  10. Dave Do we know why? and is fishing it still allowed Martin
  11. These people deal with all radio comms on behalf of the govhttp://www.ofcom.org.uk Martin
  12. Nice one Alun, I was stuck at home but your reports keep me fired up and eager for next week-end Martin
  13. They worked for me on my old hardy which had a 50hp ob. Better steering/control the only down side I found was that a reduction in my top end by one or two knots. So imo they do work but are not a substitute for having the correct size engine in the first place, as is claimed by some fin manufacturers Martin
  14. Adam Are you going to try and pre-order eels for everyone. Last time I was down there Eddie the eel was struggling and couldn't help us. Martin
  15. Mike There isn't a club record for divers, also they are inedible so just unhook them grab em by the tail and throw them as far as you can, you know like you do with dogfish Martin
  16. Mike you may sit in the front of the boat next to the wheel No who can paul go out with Yes Mike I started fishing PH with my old fella when I was very young Martin PS only joking Paul
  17. My patch too and I've only ever caught one sole in poole harbour in over 44 years of fishing it If their there they aint jumping out of the water at us Matin
  18. Adam I been thinking, we outa ban Rich from next years Alderney trip so we can be sure that the weather gods smile on us favourably Not only that its our turn to catch a big shinny thing Martin
  19. Mike Do you think the weather is trying to tell Rich something like stay at home Martin
  20. Mike I just read my last nights post, sorry it sounds a little offish . I'm not really antisocial but I do like space . Whatever happens we will try and accomodate all members who wants to go . Martin
  21. Corect Adam though do check with the insurer what speed they regard as speedboat speeds. I believe some go up to 17mph before invoking the speedboat clause. If you intend to tow skiers or doughnuts you have to ask for this cover to be added to the policy Martin
  22. I could take two but prefer one, lets see how the boats and weather pan out and then decide. Martin
  23. But which site is more popular, when I visited FBAC I was visitor 11255 since 2002, take a look at our stats pbsbac stats and we havent been going a year yet. I think as our site fills out and improves it will be hard to beat. Martin
