They worked for me on my old hardy which had a 50hp ob. Better steering/control the only down side I found was that a reduction in my top end by one or two knots.
So imo they do work but are not a substitute for having the correct size engine in the first place, as is claimed by some fin manufacturers

There isn't a club record for divers, also they are inedible so just unhook them grab em by the tail and throw them as far as you can, you know like you do with dogfish
Martin
Mike you may sit in the front of the boat next to the wheel

I been thinking, we outa ban Rich from next years Alderney trip so we can be sure that the weather gods smile on us favourably Not only that its our turn to catch a big shinny thing

Mike I just read my last nights post, sorry it sounds a little offish . I'm not really antisocial but I do like space . Whatever happens we will try and accomodate all members who wants to go .
Martin
Corect Adam though do check with the insurer what speed they regard as speedboat speeds. I believe some go up to 17mph before invoking the speedboat clause. If you intend to tow skiers or doughnuts you have to ask for this cover to be added to the policy

But which site is more popular, when I visited FBAC I was visitor 11255 since 2002, take a look at our stats pbsbac stats and we havent been going a year yet.
I think as our site fills out and improves it will be hard to beat.

Hi Dave
Your correct it is west of Aunt Betty Buoy near Brownsea Island. The barge is there most of the year but out of season only operates at week-ends, if your lucky. Blooming expensive though.
You thinking of coming up our end then?

I spoke to both Phil and Paul at Warrior and they told me whatever happens the new 195 will have to be ready for the Southampton Boat show as they had already booked a birth for her.
Will be interested to see the finished product, I'm definately of to the show for a peek.

Crew needed on the week-end of the 21st of August on Maverick out of Weymouth.
Could be either the sat or sun depending on weather.
Post here or in the trailaway planing forum
Martin
Maverick will give it a go, will have to find out if Dean is available to crew for me, could possibly take one or two additional crew depending if Dean is up for it.

Rich you should know as an ex bobby that hearsay or knowing and having actual proof are totally different things. And remember that Mike's comment's at the start of this thread are just one skippers opinion which may or not be factual.
