  1. Yep sure was a good day. I just love the scenery up that end. It was a bit (very bye the end of the day) lumpy, sort of now you see them wheres those boats gone kinda weather. We were not the smallest craft out there, a Warrior 165 was fishing in amongst the rough stuff. Bob and I didnt fare quite as well as the crew on Loyal Royal but then we didnt end up walking around without our underpants either. Anyhow thats another story I'll let Adam explain Cheers Billy for the info and the supply of the eels, nice one matey. Martin
  2. Mike Am I glad we renamed you it just gets better Martin
  3. Hi Mick Welcome to our site, glad you found us, start posting whenever you like Martin
  4. No you don't a vessel under 12 metres is required to have a port, starboard and an all round light. If you are fixing the lights up yourself remember to switch the alround light separately so at night you can have it on when at anchor Have a look Here Launch the training consule then chose what you want to learn about Martin
  5. SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD 1991 COLVIC SEAWORKER 22" 120hp Mercedes turbo diesel giving 13knots cruising 18 knots max. Very economical!! 6. Adam try Omnico Plastics in Elliott Road b/mth opposite one of your depots
  7. Ah the joys of night fishing enough to drive anyone potty
  8. Most of the plastics stocked for the building industry by companies such as space age will be co-extruded and used for fascias, soffits etc. This kind of plastic is available from about 6mm thich up to 22mm thick. It has one face side and edge with the other side and edge not quite so good. The big problem with this material is that cut ends will be like an aero chocolate bar full of littles air bubbles, these edges would be a magnet for dirt and fish slime and would get very grubby very quick. Shame really as other than that it would be ideal for the job. One thought, I wonder if gel coat could be used to seal the cut ends, or would it react with the plastic? Adam if you would like to try some I have some 9mm thick here that your welcome to have Martin
  9. Mike I'm sure we can get you afloat on one of the boats. We will confirm/tie up towards the end of the week Martin
  10. Tides for Portland are http://easytide.ukho.gov.uk/EasyTide/EasyT...dictionLength=7 Largish tides

  15. We know your easy Bob but it definately sounds tempting to me. Martin
  16. Cheers for the report Billy sounds like you had a goodun. Its nice to know whats happening up your neck of the woods. Only problem is I am now undecided where to fish on sunday, certainly tempted to fish your end after reading that report Martin
  17. Adam I havent looked at the tides yet but whatever happens I shall launch from Poole. If the tides are little I will go west (tope and skate) if the tides are biggins then I could be persuaded to steam down to the ledge and give it a go there. Whats your thoughts? Martin
  18. Adam I will be out on Maverick with Bob F as crew. Where are you going? Martin

    Hi Dan

Welcome aboard the pbsbac forum, the place for boating/fishing info in and around the Poole and surrounding areas. Martin
  20. Mike Believe him he does Martin
  21. Nice one Kam. ere cause you gotta cormorant does that mean you will be poaching all the fish Seriously though I am well pleased for you. Adams advice is good, the most important piece of kit on your boat is the engine, fingers crossed you get a goodun. When you do find one spend a bit of money with a marine engineer, get him to test the compression and all the main components it could be money well spent. If he gives you the thumbs up you might feel as if you have wasted your money but you will have that piece of mind that a proffesional has given it a clean bill of health. Thumbs down and of course it will have been money well spent saving you from a duffer. Good luck matey Martin PS when you coming out fishing with us again or is Poole to far?
  22. Dont know if this has been put here before http://users.pandora.be/tree/wrecksite/_en...el?hide=visible Have a look quite good for wrecks Martin
  23. In my experience Vaseline is good for electrical terminals, seems to do the job for me Martin
  24. Hells I think Paul could think of a few names for you other than smoothie Queen I like it though. Roll on the bbq I feel a wind up coming on
  25. Hells Your will see Dolphins off the Dorset coast sometime, Dolphins especially are spotted regularly of Poole and Swanage, in fact I believe there is a resident pod along our part of the coast. According to the Durlston Marine watch oct/nov/dec are the best times to see Dolphins, however I have only seen them in the summer months Last time I saw them was the week before we went to Alderney they were off of Durlston swimming towards Swanage Bay Martin
