Dear Stakeholder,
We'd like to remind you that two marine fisheries consultations close on 31 March 2015.
The consultations are:
Implementation of the demersal landing obligation (discard ban)
The demersal discard ban does not affect all demersal species in 2016. It will be phased in gradually over three years starting in 2016, with full implementation by 2019; and it will only affect quota species. This consultation asks which fisheries the ban should apply to in 2016 and how best to use the flexibilities secured, such as quota uplifts and specific exemptions to the ban.
We've held meetings around the coast to discuss the landing obligation with some of you who will be directly affected. If you weren't able to attend one of those meetings, you can contact your local Marine Management Organisation (MMO) officers who may be able to answer some of your questions.
We'll be feeding the views we've heard at the meetings and your consultation responses into negotiations with other European Member States to agree discard plans for our shared fisheries.
You can find the consultation here.
If you haven't already responded to this consultation, please ensure your views are heard and send your response:
- online: https://consult.defra.gov.uk/fisheries/demersal-landing-obligation-in-england
- by email: cfp.consultation@defra.gsi.gov.uk
- or by post: CFP Reform Implementation Team, Sea Fisheries & Conservation Division, Defra, Area 8A, 9 Millbank, c/o 17 Smith Square, London, SW1P 3JR
Reducing unused licences (latent capacity) in the English 10 metre and under fishing sector
This consultation seeks views on proposals to reduce latent capacity within the English 10 metre and under fishing fleet for both quota species and shellfish. We're aiming to provide more certainty on catch limits for active vessels in the 10 metre pool. The proposals apply to English registered vessels, which currently have access to the under 10 metre fishing quota pool managed by the MMO or are members of a Producer Organisation. It also applies to vessels which have shellfish entitlements.
You can find the consultation here.
Please respond to this consultation:
- by email: fisheriesreform@defra.gsi.gov.uk
- or by post: Domestic Reform Team, Sustainable Fisheries & Marine Planning Division, Defra, Area 8A, 9 Millbank, c/o 17 Smith Square, London, SW1P 3JR
We look forward to receiving your responses to our consultations.
Yours sincerely,
Russ Greenwood

Two policemen call the station on the radio.
"Hello. Is that you Sarge?"
"Yes?"
"We have a case here. A woman with PMT has shot her husband for stepping on the floor she had just mopped clean."
"Have you arrested the woman?"
"No sir. The floor is still wet."- Jim, 2006holmwood, Kingfisher 126 and 4 others

As Brian says not much chance of getting on the kyarra especially on or near slack water. Most other wrecks close inshore will hold some small fish but because they are close in and fished by many they may not hold any of size or in quantity.

Not sure yet Martin ... Might put this one in at Poole

Woman: Do you drink beer?
Man: YesWoman: How many beers a day?
Man: Usually about 3
Woman: How much do you pay per beer?
Man: £3Woman: And how long have you been drinking?
Man: About 30 years, I suppose
Woman: So a beer costs £3 and you have 3 beers a daywhich puts your spending each month at £270.
In one year, it would be approximately £3,240 correct?
Man: Correct
Woman: If in 1 year you spend £3,240 not accounting forinflation, the past 30 years puts your spending
at £97,200 correct?
Man: Correct
Woman: Do you know that if you didn't drink so much beer, that money could have been put in a step-up
interest savings account and after accounting for
compound interest for the past 30 years, you
could have now bought a Ferrari?
Man: Do you drink beer?
Woman: No
Man: Where's your Ferrari then?- Kingfisher 126, Brian, rich185 and 5 others

Four guys have been going to the same golfing trip to St Andrews for many years..
Two days before the group is to leave, Jack's wife puts her foot down and tells him he isn't going. Jack's mates are very upset that he can't go, but what can they do.
Two days later, the three get to St Andrews only to find Jack sitting at the bar with four drinks set up!
"Wow, Jack, how long you been here, and how did you talk your missus into letting you go?"
"Well, I've been here since last night. Yesterday evening I was sitting in my living room chair and my wife came up behind me and put her hands over my eyes and asked, 'Guess who?' I pulled her hands off, and there she was, wearing a nightie. She took my hand and pulled me into our bedroom. The room had candles and rose petals all over. Well she's been reading ‘50 Shades of Grey’...... On the bed she had handcuffs, and ropes! She told me to tie her up and cuff her to the bed, so I did. And then she said, "Do whatever you want."
So..... Here I am!

No they are definitely not the same although the man heading up propellor solutions is the same guy that ran propellor revolutions.
His name is Tom and I think you will find he has moved away from repairing propellers to supply of new propellers and Propeller Deflectors
http://propellersolutions.co.uk/ he is though still worth a call.
Another company worth a go are http://www.darglow.co.uk/index.html Brian used to work with Tom
