  1. If you use "proper" Outlook and not Outlook Express there is an easy way to do it is to select the pics in Windows explorer and right click - choose "send to"....."Mail receipt" Outlook will now prompt if you want to keep pics the original size or make smaller for emailing. Choose make smaller and continue. Outlook now resizes them and attaches them to a mail for you to send. Instead of sending the mail just detach\save the now smaller pics to your desktop and upload! 2. Paul, I don't believe I have been sent a password either. Cheers Rob
  3. Thanks, I feel silly
  4. I can't find a schedule for comp dates, I have looked on the calendar and can't find them . Help please. Rob
  5. Cheers Alun, Good to be out. Apparently I have a "tomato face"!! I didn't think there was that much sun! Rob

    Engine Worries

I bought an auxillary and bracket for my old boat - after 3 years I hadn't fitted it so sold it to a friend who is using it on his tender. I have similar views to Paul F on this matter, having a new out the box main outboard which was well maintained was my confidence. I once towed a guy up Christchurch harbour who's main and auxillary had failed! If you saw him you would not be suprised, as he had 4 kids with him and I couldn't spot a life jacket between them! Though I am going to get a spare "keep on the boat" spare key cut. Rob
  7. Met Check doesn't look too bad!!: http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/dayfor...urnemouth&day=4

    Stolen Rib

I had the same issue - I assumed it was my browser (SeaMonkey), I just right click and choose "view image". Rob - Just tested , it is my browser as IE opens it OK. Are you using IE? If so which version?
  10. Confirmed: Gastronaught Alun J. and Rob F.
  11. As a club would it make sense to try and re-run a comp at the soonest oppourtunity without clashing with anyother club event (i.e. the 1st July) then if that is called off we move to the next available date? (this time 22nd due to other comps). If this procedure is used everytime, then everyone knows where they stand if an event is called off in the future? Thoughts? Rob
  12. Next week - 1st is good for me, I also can't so the 22nd. Rob

    Poole Afloat

Guys - see you there. I am handing out flyers for the RNLI. Tom, wouldn't mind a look round that 46 footer please? Does it have a live bait well? Rob
  14. Mike, I like them so much I have 2 - they are small but have enough capacity for inshore fishing. Drifting a Spring Tide on Portland race I found the capacity too small, mind you wer were moving at 6 knots+. Rob
  15. Join the club would be my advice and get yourself an RNLI Free Sea Saftey Check, especially if you are taking out other people. Robhttp://www.rnli.org.uk/what_we_do/sea_and_...sea_safety_home
  16. Who I will allow to do mine for free, like a floating advert!
  17. Thanks - I will give them a call. I'm sure it will be
  18. That would be annoying for the bigger boats: http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/display.var.1463413.0.0.php?utag=42216 ://http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/di...php?utag=42216 "POOLE lifting bridge was stuck in a down position after a pedestrian leant on the barrier, causing it to malfunction. The bridge separating Hamworthy and Poole Quay, remained down for around three hours, while engineers tried to fix the problem. Larger sailing vessels could find no way in and out of Cobb's Quay from noon on Monday."
  19. I would like to purchase a folding cuddy for my boat. It came with a stern cover which is like a cabin at the back which, despite looking weird it keeps you warm but is no use for fishing. The manufacturer Terhi does not make a cuddy for my boat but does for a differernt boat in the range - I have managed to borrow one of these the fit is not bad but not 100% as you would expect. Please see pic - obviously I had to bungee and tie it on as the fixings are not on my boat! 1: Do I spend
  20. Me too heading for that area - see you there! Rob
  21. If anybody would like crew for Sunday I am making myself available. I am house trained and have own gear - unless sharking! Geed to meet more of you last night. Cheers Rob
  22. Are you going to give us more info in the detailed catch report thread or are yoiu just teasing us? Rob
  23. I would be very interested in where those smoothies were, I could fancy that next week if I can get out? I am now going to start fishing these areas more as I now will be launching at Poole RNLI instead of Christchurch. Don't like the sound of that engine service, no excuse for that! If ever you need a hand out there I will be listening to channel 6 call sign JoJo. Question: Can you legally make a general call to PBSBAC memebers over channel 6 or do we have to call a specific boat? As I didn't know who was out yesterday and could have done with some friends!! Rob
  24. Paul, Could I have rob@pbsbac.co.uk please? Rob
