    Hello!
  16. Let's hope it used sensibly. My wife worked for the RNLI for 12 years, they are nothing but ruthless with money and being lean, with constant reviews of staff numbers somewhere in the organisation. Which is how it should be when you spend other people's donations/money. If only the public services were efficient and treated it as such. As charities are concerned, they need to ensure the likes of the charities that are just businesses hiding behind the label are treated as deserved. Having spent some time in the HQ of UK Oxfam in Oxford, I was amazing at the plush building, number of sofas and "break out rooms"! Huge 15ft high posters of war and famine inside their 4 storey high glass atrium. Something very perverse. Plus, I was meeting with mostly contractors who had been working for them for months or even years! I'm sure they wouldn't be cheap (Yes I was there as a consultant/supplier but we did some fixed price work, got in and got out. Not cheap but worth it!!!!) I'm sure they aren't the worst but spend 25% on admin / wages and NSPCC had previously spent 50%! As you might tell, I choose my donation recipients carefully - go HOW!!! R
  17. Just popped mine up on axel stands, they spin but can hear the brakes just rubbing, which is to be expected as I am sure the flush kit is worth its weight in Au. But you still get a bit of rust in the drums, just a lot less. R
  18. If you have 2 batteries, 1 is a starter and the other leisure. 1st has high cranking amps and the leisure will be much more happy getting flattened by your electronics whilst at anchor. And separation is key, so the starter is kept full for the way home. Boat / marine batteries i am sure are a branding, but, if you only have 1 battery. A Traction battery is what you want, good compromise between starter and leisure. I have twin now, but before relied on a Varta such as: https://www.tayna.co.uk/leisure-batteries/varta/lfd75/
  19. Yes, brakes off 100%, but rust can grow inside the hubs and a quick spin can take the edge off it. Always ensure you make sure the neck is extended when parked, thus is you reverse it in, pull forward a smidge before unhitching. R
  20. If you put on axel stands, you can then give em a spin to ensure the brake shoes haven't bound/stuck! R
  21. Nice good luck, hope she goes well! I suspect the trailer will need to be braked and working to be legal. As over 750kg (hull 450/500kg, engine 170kg, trailer 150/200kg, fuel, ropes, anchor&chain, general stuff) well over. Rob
  22. Talking about the fishing or haircut? Hope you are both well and keeping safe. Rob
  23. Disappointed it's not Jim's footage! R

    Passing the time

Charlie, I think it depends on your working environment. I'm a desk jockey so can do all my work from anywhere and have worked 2 to 3 days a week from home for 9 years. It does require a certain amount of displine, but the key is not just for yourself but those who are at home when you are working. Good luck to all, stay safe and I'm hoping my work level drops to a level representing before lockdown, as since then it has gone mad! (We deploy most IT systems including for people to work remotely and "colaborate" (puke) online! R
