  1. Guessing the numbers: £15k for new setup A few quid for old engine and hopefully add some value to your craft. Net cost £8000 and saving 45% on fuel means you need to spend £17,777 on fuel before you start saving. That is quite a bit. R
  2. Found the old post: " If its a major fault they address the problem on next years model....I know this from first hand experience ...ask PaulD , we nearly run out of fuel coming back from Alderney(luckily we had spare tanks on board) all because of a known fault on the o2 sensor on my Honda 225!!! which costs about 600 to repair when the punter realises! but was done under warranty "
  3. Why not get a newer outboard for better fuel economy? Tomo had a 225 on his pirate and that I believe was ok on fuel. Except when he had a problem with some fuel regulator, it then drank like a fish. R
  4. When have any 2 tides been the same?!?!?
  5. What boat is it and what outboard? Pics? R

Tough times Matt, But great memories made that you can always cherish! Write down some of the stories of the fun you had and email them to yourself, then you can easily go and read them all in one place. Plus when you are old you can regurgitate them with all the details! Chin up and don't be a stranger to the forum! Rob

  20. The 2 days dose indeed give flexability but the single sunday is to get as many anglers to Cobbs on th day. Remember you only have to fish 1 day to take part in the species and specimen comps. Rob
  21. Thanks Mal, i confirm it is a go go go!
  22. I think Duncan / BathClaret had movers on the wheels of his trailer and it had a high battery post. As you say the battery in / on the car is useless at Baiter. I have an Anderson connector in the bow of my boat that I can plug my mover in to, for positioning the trailer on the drive etc. You could do similar but need cable c. Length of winch strap that you let out. Do you guys keep your manual winch incase of failure of motor/ battery etc? Would a 2 speed manual winch not be an alternative? R
  23. Terry / Plaicemat lives in Oxfordshire!
