  1. Yes, good to go here - holiday booked for Friday - no the last minute rush to get ready... too many things to do! What time are people thinking of leaving Friday?
  2. Full UK G2 chart
  3. All sorted now - picking up a new 12' unit tomorrow and ill install on Thurs, so hopefully I'll be up and running for the weekend. Anyone want to buy a Garmin 2010c?!?!
  4. No worries, the thought was there! Just hoping Duncan has something suitable.
  5. Latest update suggests a 3 day trip leaving Sat and back Mon. Works for me as an option and has the bonus of not using any holiday - not an issue for the retired gents granted!
  6. OK - so despite Steve's very generous donation - I'm still stuck. Steve's card was a downloaded unit - which is effectively a one time use affair - done to prevent people downloading dozens of copies, it was uploaded with a code that locks it to Steve's unit and that one only. The only way I can fix this, given the age of the unit is to find a factory downloaded chart card - these work on any units. Duncan - any of yours fit this bill? I think these ones will have a Garmin sticker on them with the card area?
  7. We had a cracking day on the new JV. Not far off a red letter day, we had a great average stamp of fish but didn't quite match the top end of Alfresco. 3lb was the best we (I) had, but I'd think we had over 50 bream today. The boat was great and the weather was lush. Adam
  8. Yup very borderline. If it gets a bit better it could be ideal, any worse and it's a no go. It's been swinging about all day... Yes I've started checking every few hours! Fingers crossed it starts to settle.
  9. Magic Sea Weed... I guess. And so it does... Let's keep hoping it stays that way. Guru has it turning windy
  10. Windguru? What's MSW?
  11. Steve, whilst I appreciate the help with the chart - the forecast has picked up again for next weekend, can you get chanting again please!!
  12. Awesome. Thank you so much! I'm sure I can find a bit of software online to convert the files over.
  13. I've mislaid my pirk mould I bought last year. It's not the sort of thing I'd be likely to loose but I've hunted high and low. Long shot but just checking I'd didn't lend it out and forgot about it? It's a 12oz Norwegian pirk mould. Cheers Adam
  14. Next question is how to get the USR file data I have from my lowrance unit to the old garmin? Not sure it's possible?
  15. Thats excellent, many thanks guys. Steve, I'll arrange to get it from you next week as I'd like to get it set up before next weekend's trip. What an excellent club!!
  16. Steve - if the forecast holds I'm sure we will all buy you a beer when we get there!
  17. Anything that covers our section of the channel over to the channel islands.
  18. Awesome! Two offers - dont mind which - whichever ones is easiest to sort the logistics out etc? Thanks guys!
  19. I usually find you need to be 30 plus miles offshore this time of year to find clear water? Good luck - as they say youve got to be in it to win it.
  20. Anyone got one of these - it's the old data card style that looks a bit like a memory stick. Either to buy or even just to borrow until we get something sorted.
  21. Plan C no good for me. Plan D later in June works for me. I just cant do the 6th June weekend. Lets hope this one comes good - but its looking borderline.

  24. There are loads but fortunately we plan a total refit from scratch over the winter so all the crap bits will go and in its place will be a proper job, decent kit fitted properly. We knew that when we bought her. Whilst I'm looking forward to using her over the summer, I'm also looking forward to the winter refit. It will be an exciting project to follow, and like JV1 I'll try and track the progress on here.
