Braid knots all rely on you not strangling the knot itself as this is when the strength of the braid is comprimised. Also the knot must give as much strength to the mono as possible, as this will invaribly be the weakest link.
Several knots (all mentioned) will do the job equally as well when tied correctly.
The uni-not, the grinner, the allbright, palomar, and the bimini twist.
Personally I use a single tuck (granny knot) in the mono, and then double tuck a double blood knot up and around the shank of the mono with the braid. This gives a very slim knot where the braid pull laterally along the mono and not at the actual knot itself.
As I said, horses for courses, none is better or worse just personal preferance.
