    Hayling?

Mike: Yeah we went...but not to Hayling. Reports of a Plaice match on Friday where 200 anglers could just 2 Plaice put us off!! Went to Poole instead. See Catch Reports for a full run down. As for cock-ups....my engine dramas were about right for that!!!!! Adam

    Cobbs Quay

Hi, Who can give me the tel. no. for the Mariner service centre at Cobbs quay?? Need to book Blue Warrior in for a service ASAP. If not could anyone recommend anyone to service a Mariner 50hp 4 strk??? Adam
  5. As most of you will have gathered - the trail-a-way crew opted to fish Poole today as opposed to Hayling, as the fishing had been so poor. Good as chance at Poole as anywhere else? Great start for me - as after arriving an hour early - I couldnt start Tara. Being stubborn on her last trip with me!. So she went back on the trailer, and Martin very kindly offered me a place on Maverick - with Bob going on Pilchard, sorry - Loyal Royal ( ) for her maiden voyage. Paul D was on Neo with his son. We all started on the Swash grounds and I was off to a flyer with a 1lb Plaice banging away after only 10 mins - First cast, first fish!! Unfortunatly that was all we had all day! - We had another 2/3 bites but nothing materialised. I think that was the same for the rest of the PBSBAC foltila. LR headed out to search some wrecks with her new toys and found the obligatory Pout and Doggies, and Paul D stuck at it, but struggled like us. Anyway - 1st proper trip of the year - maybe a little early, but a good day none-the-less. Good company to boot! - Cheers guys. Adam
  6. Cod, We ended up fishing Poole after all that! - The Plaice fishing was reputed to be dire, so rather than waste petrol we went closer to home. We also found the ferry slip to be in a similar state, and had planned to use eastney. Hopefully we will replan and give it a go later in the year. Adam

Sounds like a good plan! - Either one of the club meetings (1st Thurs every month) or at our 1st Monthly points comp in April would be a good idea?? Can you make it? - Sun 18th April. Adam

  9. Oh dear!! Were all out Sunday, so hope we all have better luck then! Where the hell are the Plaice??!!!

    FINALY!!!!

Thats it! - Ive finally ended my search! - I went down to the Marina today - and bought my new boat! A 2001 Warrior 165. Mariner 50hp 4 Stroke. All in A1 condition! I had the local Mariner engineer come and have a look at the engine. He was satisfied that nothing major was wrong, and she certianly run smooth while I was there. Ill book her into Cobbs for next week, so hopefully she will be ready for the Weymouth trip! Her name? - ' Blue Warrior ' Dead chuffed! - Picking her up next Sat. The only thing I need now is a big car to pull it! Adam
  11. I have Tara back at mine. Last trip for me in her!!! Actually really looking forward to it! I have 50 rag, and have just spend a fortune on spoons and attractors!! Ill be trying the swash channel, then hook sands, and if time the end of the piers. See you all in the morning! Adam
  12. Can we get it to 10? - I dont know? - we have over 1000 views though!
  13. Fine by me chaps - bit of a lay in as well! - bouns! I too will be glad when the thread is over! - 971 views and 150 odd posts! - gotta be a record! Adam
  14. Sounds fine to me Bob. I'd rather go out early though. A 1.1m at baiter isnt too bad - but martin will know how much he needs? - Didnt he say he had a slip permit for cobbs?? Either way is fine for me - juts have a long day Mon, so could do with getting back at a reasonable time what with having to take the boat back to james' etc. Adam
  15. You have me confued now!!! Am I to presume that it is still 6.30 'AFTER' I turn the clocks back, and it will just FEEL like 7.30, or have we moved it to 7.30??
  16. Wanted to get the whole engine serviced before I buy - but the broker and the seller are not comfortable with this. I can sort of see their point of view - after all you wouldnt get a service on a car before you bought it would you? They dont mind me having an engineer looking at it though on site. So tomorrow the local mariner dealer is having a look and subject to him giving me a positive opinion I'll buy it. The first thing I'll do though is book it in for a full sevicve at Cobbs. The package is a good deal, and ive knocked him
  17. Mike, I think you will be lucky to find one! as my search for a screen last year went the same way! - but you may have a bit of luck. Personally, Id go to the Canford Boat Jumble this Sun. Last year they had loads of bits like this flying around - I missed them as I was too late! Adam
  18. It is James - but i feel it belongs on tara.! 'Net for life! - Ha! - dont be silly! - it would be lucky to last 6 months!. Youd throw it over the side - like your shoes, the vhf, the other 2 nets, your rod, and god knows what else!!! Adam
  19. Great. Maverick - Martin, Dean & Rich JAW Loyal Royal - Mark B, Me, Kabin Boy Neo - Paul D & Paul's Foreend. (Can be replaced by Dave Mayne as a sub) Spendid!
  20. Right. Sorry to chance everyones plans, but it seems Sun will be the better option for everyone. Same times, same place same people. Rownhanms at 6.30am Slipway and launching at 8am LW (approx) 9.10am HW (approx) 4.20pm Paul D was at the slip 2nite ans told me that it is not advisable to launch at dead low as the slip gives way to sand and is v. slippery. Therefore Sun gives us an extra hour of water to get the boats in. Names we have: Bob F, Adam F, Martin, Dean, Paul D, Mark B. Boats - Neo, Maverick, Loyal Royal. Crew - (not confirmed) Rich JAW, Dave Mayne, Pauls 'Foreend' Are we all ok with this? Love Adam!!
  21. I struggle to keep an eye on my calender!! Damnn gunna miss that one also. May give beaulieu a miss - prob. gunna be there too late to get any major bargins. Dont need that much anyway. Personally I found that the items I have been after in the past have been way over priced at these jumbles, and for the cost of them new - you can hunt them down for very good prices new! (half of the stalls at the jumbles are traders anyhow!!) Adam
  22. Oh! I nearly forgot! - What day. Please be the sat?? - we are fishing on the sun.
  23. Weather - Unpredictable???!!! - surely not! Have a look at this guys! - Read it and weep - it looks perfeick! http://www.weatherworld.info/harbour/town-...ngstone+Harbour Force 1's, with settled weather for the rest of the week. Light cloud cover. Ideal!!!! Bring it on! Adam
