  11. Good idea. If we can get a list of names on the forum, you can then bring them along to the meeting. We just need to know what boats will come? I will have a look on the web to see if I can find any info out about the fishing - althoug i suspect it will be similar to the shambles on the skerries? adam
  12. Right! - Bring it on! What do we need to organise next? Boats? Who is coming and who is bringing a boat. Crew? Chart and info on the area? Leaving times? What do we do if the weather is bad? (cancel?) I presume we all need to fill in a form each. I can then collate them and post them away (or Bob can?) Adam

    Anti foul??

The antifoul that is there at the moment is fairly sound, but flaking in places. Underneath you can see the original gelcoat. So would the antifould sand away to leave a resonable gelcoat? If I do decide to re-antifoul, how easy it to do? Adam

    Anti foul??

The Warrior I may buy has been antifouled. The way I see it I have 3 options. 1.) Leave it the way it is. It is a bluey antifioul and the hull is blue so it doesnt show too much, and maybe it will flack away over time. But it is an ugly contrast to the pristine hull. 2.) Re-antifoul it. This would improve the look. But it would still be a diff. colour. Also how do you do it while it is on the trailer?? 3.) Take the old (thin) coat of antifoul off. (my prefered option) I presume it canh be sanded, then polished to get close the original gel coat?? - My only concern is how much it will cost and where would get it done. Help?? Adam
  17. Right - Last chance! Either day next weekend for the 3rd attempt to fish Hayling. What day does everyone prefer? - I am free both days at the mo. Also - went down to the ferry bridge slip yesterday whilst looking at the warrior. Tide was out and the differance was about 6/8 metres than the previous day when the tide was in. I also think the tide rip was about 4/5 knots! Nasty. There is no way in the world I would launch a boat into that! - So slack on a high tide is the only real feasible option for that slip. At low tide it is similar to wick - steep and slippery + covered in shingle So we need another slip! Adam
  18. What a splendid site! - WOW It really is quite amazing - I find it really interesting. If any of you want a good read - and find the above link good, read 'The Perfect Storm' 100 times better than the poxy film remake. The book is v. good. Based in the South Atlantic of the coast of Newfoundland - tells the story of a fishing boat in Heavy seas. Goes into great detail about weather systems and boats at Sea. I picked it up in Spain last year and was expecting a shallow book like the film - couldnt be further away. I have a copy if anyone wants to borrow it? Adam
