Thanks maverick, I will fill out the membership form and give the fee to Mark on Saturday. Regards BB PS You are right about the trophies mate, women and kids always seem to do the bizz.

Mark, Did you say that Loyal Royal was 6.8 mtrs.?? Perhaps you can remind me so that I can sort the overnight mooring. As it is a 48 hour Specimen hunt, are we allowed to fish for the solid 48 hours if we wish ? I ask this because I may get some conger marks that fish after dark. Regards, BB

We finished 5 th overall so we didn,t do to bad. We fished from Lady Betty with Adie. Started off the pier and we had 6 species in the first hour but as is always the case the first move slowed us up. We only got 2 on the patch so we moved to Saddlers?? Got 2 more there so we went into the harbour for the last hour. Drifted for bass and got nothing but tied up against the wall for the last 10 mins. and got three species so we ended up with 13 species and 23 fish points. Same position as last year, always the bridesmaid but never the bride. Regards, BB

Didn,t know you had a junior section lads. How much is it a year?? Regards, BB

Today I got 2 million brownie points. Took my wife, 12 year old daughter, and 7 year old son fishing in Hands Off. Went to one of my little marks and it fished its butt off. Leah had 2 cuckoo wrasse, 2 bream( biggest 2.5 lbs) and 3 doggies. Sam had 1 ballan, 1 corkwing, 3 doggies, 1 bull huss, and 3 bream, the biggest going 3lbs 9ozs. We only fished for 2 hours as the tide picked up and needed 1lb lead to fish, too heavy for the kids. All went home dead happy and I am the king in my house. Regards, BB

Cracking fish Adam. Where is Sowley?? Some mates of mine fished a beach near there on Tuesday and had 17 Smoothies to 14lb. BB

I have taken some pictures on my mobile of fish recently but I cannot download them from my phone. O2 have apparently enabled the phone, but when it comes to this modern tech stuff I am not the sharpest chisel in the box. Some of you lads seem to be a bit whizz with the old PC so any advice would be welcome. Regards, BB

What a night tonight on my new mark(SSSHHH). Myself and my boat partner had 40 Bream , the biggest going to me at 4lb 10ozs. In the net I thought I had the record. Kept a couple for the pot but almost all went back. (all for the specimen comp Mark). Altogether I had eight species, Bull huss (8lb 90zs), Dogfish, Ballan, Cuckoo (1lb 1oz), Bream, Pout, Poor cod and Mackerel. My boat partner had his first Bullie, we had two each. Not a bad old night as we only fished for 3 hrs. Regards, BB

The trawler boys get cuttle and squid for a pastime here. I will see if they are willing to bring them ashore for me. If so I can freeze them down for you to share out. ( Or I may keep them and auction them off.) However, my personal opinion is that the boxed squid from A T C is as good as any lads. I believe is it Califonian. Just defrost straight away and let it warm on your bait board. Regards, BB

Hi Mark, Can you post me details of Loyal Royal please, I will need them for the overnight mooring mate. I will sort the bait from this end as we don,t know the weather for certain marks yet. I am in Poole on Friday for the species hunt and I believe that the presentation is at the Marina club. I can,t make the meeting tomorrow as I need to get some bait, get my box sorted and then be up for 5 am Friday. Please give my apologies. May see you Friday or if not then please send details, ie Length, Make, Insurance, Owners name and address etc. Regards to all, BB PS Did that bloody great swimming crab work Bob ??

Any of you lads fishing the species hunt on Friday?? We have a couple or teams from the Anglers Tackle Centre. Our team is drawn on Josephine I believe, looking forward to it. BB
-
Great Idea Martin, Have forwarded on so lets see what happens mate.
-
Whippet, Do you live in Weymouth mate or do you just moor here?? BB
-
Hi Mark, The pontoon at the Angling club looks dodgy but have made some enquiries and found a berth for you near the town bridge. All systems go if weather plays ball mate. Looks like you lads had a good smoothie session, nice one. Went out today at 6:30am for three hours. Fished at Lulworth and had Thornbacks, doggies, wrasse and my best Bream of the year so far at 3.5lbs, Is that worth putting in the book?? Got a few marks for the comp now from one of my charter boy mates. Glad PJ can make it , should be a good one. Regards to all. BB
-
Just to confirm following our conversation last night Bob, I will be fishing the 48 hour comp. Mark has kindly invited me on board Loyal Royal and I believe Paul J is fishing as well. Hope the weather is good. Regards to all BB

Hi lads, Fished my first Weymouth small boat comp for three years last night. They have now introduced catch and release points system so I will fish it. Fished off Lulworth cove and had two thornies, plethera of doggies, one bream and the ubiquitous pout. Went in too early because we were unsure of the times but got it sussed now. Third on the night by 10 points but fished 40 minutes less. Next time then. Two year old garfish was THE bait believe it or not. The mind boggles. Regards to all BB

So pleased you managed to get a day on the banks lads, Awsome fishing isn,t it?? Looking forward to reading the reports, see you soon, BB

Cheers guys, Belated wishes great white, hope you had a good one mate. Just back from a stonking weekend in Bristol, it was so good I never even got to Veals tackle shop. Your right about the weather mate, looks crap. Maybe we can rearrange if it is off?? Regards, BB

CHEERS , Bring on the SMOOTHIES

Hi Bob, Tuesday is fine at this moment. I am off to Bristol today for my birthday bash so I might be a bit foggy as we are not back until Monday night, hopefully. Will make a few calls for the Hermits, should be OK looking at the weather. Directions by Monday please but bear in mind I dont really know Poole very well. Have a good weekend. BB
-
Happy Birthday codfather. 53 years young. Are you going to Alderney on Monday? Celebrate in style with a few fissshhheees. My birthday tomorrow so I,m off to Bristol for a dirty weekend,( don,t tell my missus). Probably pop into Veals and spend a mint on tackle I don,t need. Have a good day. BB
-
I would love a trip to the smoothies next week gents if its possible. The only night that is difficult is Wednesday. Winds are dropping so Hermits should be OK. BB

Hi Mark, 3ft trace, single or penell 3/0,4/0. Frozen mackerel works well as does launce flappers. Take your sandeel feathers mate. Don,t forget that Turbot want a moving bait so no need to let line out. Good luck to all of the lads going to Alderney. The winds look like they are dropping for the trip over so should be OK. BB
