  3. Much oblidged Bob, Sorry about that, I thought the forum list was the members list. BB
  4. Hi Mark, Are we on for Sunday? Weather looks OK. If it is on, what time and where do you want me? I dont know Poole very well but I am sure we can sort something out. What bait do we need and how much? BB
  5. My fingers are too big for my keyboard, hence the spelling mistakes when I try to type quickly. BB
  6. I have searched the members list and cannot find my son there. Was he registerd? I have paid the fee and filled out a eorm via the site. I nay be looking in the wrong place. Regards, BB
  7. Yes mate, It does look like you will be in the harbour but you never know what the weather will do. If you cannot get maggots or whites use the very tail end of ragworm coz it wriggles well. These small fish don,t like worms heads anyway. Not a bad idea with the squid, just give it a little movement. Best of luck. BB
  8. Hi Rich, Good crops of berries, loads of Sloe Gin mate. Is it rich pickings up there Rich for the big black juicy ones. Still haven,t heard about the 6th yet but will keep you informed. I was watching a programme on Discovery and it seems as thouigh the bravest fish(On the outside of the shoals ) are the fattest. They get the most food. The fish that stay in the middle get very little . Maybe its true but it sounds logical. BB
  9. The problems you get when sub-dividing species is identification. Shannies, blennies, gobies, different wrasse types etc. It caused concern in the Poole Species when they decided to bring fish back in buckets so that they could be identified. We even had one of our local skippers claim three types of sandeel in one comp. He is right because there are sub species of sandeel but it raised a few eyebrows. Dont let it get too complicated lads. BB PS Mark, are we on for the weekend mate? Let me know asap so that I can arrange it.
  10. James, Do you supply your own bait for the fish-off ? If so try and take some white maggot and some small whites, may give you an edge mate. BB
  11. Dont say it, just f************* do it James. BB
  12. James , Did you get the rigs mate? I found another one on the floor that I forgot to post but it is only a heavier snood variation. Billy
  13. Excellent news Mark, hope all goes well mate. Keep me informed. Are we fishing this end or your end? BB
  14. Peter, I will take the 12T mate. Are you fishing next Sunday? If so I will pay you then. If not please contact me with address etc for payment. You did mention you came to Weymouth quite frequently so perhaps we can meet up. Is it in good condition and is the drag still smooth? Regards, BB
  15. Sorry about the spelling there lads, trying to type this too quickly.
  16. Rich, as you know the comp has een rearranged for 31st October. That could be a difficult one for me as Daves ( Mt boat partner) son-in-law is down from Bristol. They tend to use the boat when that happens. Its not gnarenteed of course but as I want to fish the comp I need to make definite arrangements. Can we crew for another boat? I know that Marks boat is still being repaired so that it him out. What about one of the bigger ones? Lets see what happens. James I havew a few traces for you mate. What is your addres or can I drop them in Poole somewhere? Regards, BB
  17. Where is Fabric Land Rich? Sounds like a transvestite club (not that I would know) BB
  18. Hi Rich, The worm hooks are from UK-Hooks mate. Herring rigs-- you cannot beat Sabikis in a 10. Got the sequins mate, very nice, Thank you. By flouro beads do you mean floaters? Ordinary luminous beads I get from UK-Hooks. They do pink and green in lumo and a lovely red bead for the wrasse. Will check forecast tonite and decide for Sunday coz I cannot wait until the day because of work. Speak to you soon, BB
  19. Peter, I am interested in the 12T. I have a 16S and its a cracking reel for conger etc. What size is the 12T and what capacity?.
  20. Rich, My phone is down for some stupid reason. Had a text on Monday saying they may have some problems as they were upgrading the network, Tuesday dinnertime dead as the proverbial. I wonder if it is due to the fact I am in an argument with O2 regarding chages while in Bulgaria. Thewy told me 40p a minute, made 3 very short calls and they are trying to charge me
  21. Is that 29th November James or October? BB
  22. Is the comp on Sunday run on the usual lines? If so can someone please Email me some score sheets in case I can fish it. Rich, I will keep an eye on the weather and let you know the situation mate. I have got some bits for the November comp so will bring on Sunday, if not I will have to get them to the commitee soon. Would it be possible to have an address in Poole to deliver if necessary. Regards, BB
  23. Congrats James on qualifying for the fish off. We fish the Poole Species comp and I will gladly tie you some of the rigs we use for scratching. What date is the comp mate? BB

  25. Hi Rich, How are you mate? Bit busy at work at the moment mate but in a couple of weeks I will try and sort a session out. When Marks boat is finished we can do a buddy session on a decent weekend. By the way I may need a partner for a Lifeboat Pairs comp on Flamer 111. Not sure of the dates yet but it will be a midweek match. As you work for yourself you may be in a position to fish it, more details later buddy.
