  4. From experiance as Duncan says the RYA are not good at keeping the information. But the RYA RTC where you did the course should have records and in our case we take a photo copy of the certificate. I would try them first Charlie

    Fish Box?

Hi Duncan I have three compartments below decks that store all sorts of fenders ropes etc They were also intended to be fish holds if required, but as we do not keep many fish they have never been used for this. we have discussed using one of them for this next week if we have too. But I doubt we will keep that many fish. the ones we keep should go into the ice box. Last year we used the bait tank to keep the flatties alive until we got back to braye, then they went on ice after bleeding in the tank Charlie

    Fish Box?

The Icy tek not big enough Adam? I may have a couple at work somewhere, I presume one without drain holes, is that correct? Charlie
  9. We have one from here I do not think they could take your leg and shield, but they would probably take the props Call me if you can get them here Charlie
  10. Hi Adam great Idea Not sure I like the idea of a BBQ onboard, but more than happy to join in using my cooker and a few beers from the cooler. Looking at the weather it continues to change far too often. 1 option is to go a day early, if the weather stays as it is on the current forecasts crew availability is sorted out, accomadation we will look into if we have too. Martin would that give you problems with a buddy boat? as I am sure you would not be able to go earlier. Is anyone else considering this option? Charlie
  11. Nice I see who wants the cracked cup next week Paul Is there a bit of relief there mate? Charlie
  12. The big boat jumble this weekend is there someone that could add them on to a stand for you? Charlie
  13. Charlie I think you have it right. But Adam is running it now so its down to him. But as these are one off comps its not as important as it was when it was a series of comps. It was agreed when we adopted this system that all that fished would get at least 1 point. Charlie
  14. Nice one well done Charlie
  15. Thanks Adam Dont get us wrong the eeling is by no means a priority Last year we went on big tides and although the banks fished the wrecks only fished at the slacker periods. That is why I intended to try on smaller tides this year, when it became a four day trip we decided to give the table fish a miss on day one. I would prefer to delay by two weeks, but that means Sam would not be available and it woould be just 3 days. Interesting to see how much the forecast has changed since yesterday early yesterday I started to think about going a day early last night I was worried we may not get there Now it looks like we could go Sunday to Tue/wed obviously , as you have said far to early to tell. Charlie
  16. We Do not like that But considering how much it has changed in the last few days I will not cancel this early. Charlie
  17. Hell of a rough ride It wasn't that bad on Sunday thankfully. But I have been in simular bad weather on some of my Navy ships
  18. Go on Peter spoil us and give us a clue, to the options Charlie
  19. Hi peter Is the exlusion zone around the ice princess big enough to effect the ducallion? [i entered it as DC as I could not read the info in French for the other ] I heard them calling plenty of ships on Sunday to keep them away from the submersible. Charlie
  20. Did you not get the email I sent around last week Adam? It had the numbers for both, and thats where they were last year Charlie
  21. Well done Tony I will email you Dans project later Charlie
  22. Happy birthday mate We hope you have a good one Charlie
  23. Bad luck again Tom I am sure your knowledge would be appreciated on Wed if you can stand to be amongst all the planning on a trip you have to miss. Likewise martin, what is the chance that the engine will be here next week? Charlie
  24. Apparently incorrect polarity for even a short period can cause damage. But running an engine for a period at normal revs, with the battery leads disconnected can seriously overheat the rectifier. I know you were very carefull not to do that when you changed batteries, I am wondering if when your battery was completly U/S it had a simular effect and caused the damage. Sounds hopeful that this has been the cause of your problems. Charlie
  25. Well done Charlie and Sam That picture is worth a thousand words. I still have one of my Sam at about 2 1/2 with his first bass. Huge grin as he sits with his fish on his lap and his colourful wellies on. Well worth teaching the kids to fish and giving up some of the serious trips to make sure they enjoy it. Look what happened to me Both boys now well over 6ft tall, so I had to get a bigger boat Result Charlie
