  3. happy birthday will, see you tonight.
  4. fixed spools are a good starter reel as easy to use, I personally like the rovex fixed spools on sale at poole sea angling centre, simple reels but with plenty of bearings and I have never had an issue with mine, used for all different sorts of fishing including bass fishing in 40ft of water. (I think I payed about 30 quid each for them) I also like the abu ambassador 6000/5000 size reels, small but plenty of strength. my eldest uses all my old reels and has no problems with them so he should be fine with most reels on offer.
  5. agree with rob, the rod dom uses works great and happily landed rays on It in the junior comps last year. this will be the rod I will be looking at getting jack when he turns four next year. sam

sorry to hear this Matt and my Condolences, as others have said it was always a pleasure fishing alongside you and your dad, my thoughts are with you and the family
  7. Happy Birthday Dan. Good afternoon with beer and rugby So much for Scotland turning up
  8. Dave, if to claim a new record the fish must be dead how can they recognise Curtis fish as a new record, doesn't seem to be much consistency. I have also filled in the form for fish jayden has caught and left half the form blank with no questions asked. I agree with fish should not be killed purely to be weighed and to a point I agree fish for records should be weighed on certified scales but as above that rule does not seem to always apply regards sam

cant believe we are all staying in the harbour, many 20ft from there moorings with the current forecast. got a feeling I will be spending sunday wishing I was near a different island. but got to be in it to win it, and with jayden showing an interest and keen to go I shouldn't complain
