  1. what is the range like rob, are you restricted to close visability, is it something that could be set up on a heavier rod close to the boat to look back onto other rods? I wouldn't mind having a look at it and discussing a bit further, could you bring it to the next meeting?
  2. very interesting to watch and will have a look into the camera, however I can see it becoming very frustrating fishing with the setup all day and then returning home and seeing how many fish you lost. it would ruin the fishermans tale of the one that got away. does explain why I caught the blonde on the sidewinder the other day, first for me. sam
  3. How did that turbot get off
  4. very cool, how do you mount it rob?

  13. there is a similar smaller version at our work site, it is used for cleaning the pond they use for injection freshwater, lillypads/ anything that can block the suction filters, this looks like a heavy duty version
  14. Haha kids have a great way with words. It sounds like something jayden would say. Seen as the last competition finishes at 3 I would suggest we will be looking at a bbq for around half 5/6 si everyone has time to sort the boats out and for me to tally up the final results Sorted the prizes out last night and once again looks like a good prize table
  15. still recovering, I need a mid channel trip to have a more relaxing trip
  16. Hi All, I have just finished sorting through all the results and it took a bit longer this time due to the amount of children involved, which is truly fantastic. a couple of facts about this competiton: in total we had 6 different boats 15 juniors and a whopping 19 different species caught between all the juniors, compared to last years results this is turning into a very competitive competition which is great. the results are as follows: total species- Curtis driver with 13 species heaviest fish- Jayden with a conger of 10lb 5oz ( a true chapman now as he keeps telling everyone) 1st best specimen- sophie driver, Mackeral 1lb 5oz 66% 2nd best specimen- Jacob Givans, spotted ray 3lb 3oz 58% 3rd best specimen- dom annear. red Gurnard 10oz 50% the running total for the competitions so far is as follows: 1st best specimen- Curtis driver, undulate ray, 103% 2nd best specimen- sophie driver, Mackeral 1lb 5oz 66% 3rd best specimen- Jacob Givans, spotted ray 3lb 3oz 58% well done to everyone and it is all still changeable in the last competition. I know there is a few lucky Dads who will be away in Norway in the last competition but if you can arrange for someone to bring the kids to the prize giving that would be great, I think it would be very enjoyable for the kids to pick up there prizes in person and play with the other juniors, I know last year they all had fun tearing around my garden tight lines sam
  17. glad you enjoyed it Ian and the girls also enjoyed it, Like I said to you on our return, you have passed the first test for fishing on alfresco, we just need to see if the chef likes you haha enjoy your trip to Norway. sam
  18. cheers for all the results guys, looks like all the kids made the most of the weather and caught some fish, we had a slow start to the day with only mackerel coming onboard and a lonely scad, after a decision to open the fishing area due to worsening conditions and a slight move inshore the fishing picked up a bit with Jayden landing his first ever conger, which he was chuffed about, he is now telling everyone he is now a real chapman because he has caught a conger and done the conger cuddle. another move inshore after lunch saw the kids being kept busy on worm baits and enjoying the day. results for alfresco were Jayden mackerel conger ell 10lb 5oz scad pout ballan wrasse tompot blenny corkwing wrasse rock cook wrasse Amy Mackeral pout ballan wrasse Pollack bream Emma mackerel pout ballan wrasse rock cook wrasse bream thanks Ian and the girls for the company and thanks to dad for taking us out I am working out of a different office today with limited computer time, so will work out the results in the morning and post the results, one competition to go and still all to play for sam
