Keith Arthur's views on sea angling

Has anyone seen the article that led to this:

The Angling Trust would like to stress that sea angling is an integral part of the united, single representative body for ALL anglers. Keith Arthur's recent article in Angling Times which suggested that sea anglers should be 'kicked out' of the Angling Trust is not the view of anyone who works for the organisation, or the volunteers who serve on its Board of Directors.

It seems to me to be a pity that an apparently 'famous' voice of angling should take this approach

Does this 'dear fellow' not know anything about us sea angling fellows?

I would have thought a coming together and singing from the same song sheet is the righteous and only way. What an opinionated and divisive twit you are KA dry.gif

There is little in this life that rubs me up the wrong way more, than an articulate half whit, who enjoys the sound of his own voice above all else. sick.gif

Its a shame that an individual that has engineered such a prominent position for himself in the angling world should be such a baffoon.Keith Arthur is one of those idiots that opens his mouth before fully engaging brains, you only have to watch the way that he speaks to his guests on Tight Lines to realise what an arrogant twat he is,he always speaks over them. The way the Angling Trust has responded will surely leave Mr Arthur with a large helping of egg on his pompous face.

Responsible people will all respond the same way.......and label KA a TWAT and TOSSER !!

He did a carp program for sky in spain once and got all bitter and twisted and said the area was crap for fishing all because he could not catch one. He had to borrow one from another film crew to film his shoot. I went out the week after him with the same guide caught loads.

He was apparently arogant and rude then too

Another article about the ill thought out comments of Keith Arthur.

http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/other-sport/n..._trust_1_772367

I know of many sea anglers who take out annual EA rod licences, and a large number who support the Angling Trust. It's just as well that the AT came out publicly against his comments.

It will be interesting to see what action Sky TV may now take, if any, bearing in mind Mr Arthur's nice little earner on Sky Sport.

KA: "If that is the case, I believe that the Trust should cast aside all concept of representing sea anglers... and concentrate on those who are prepared to pay for their sport."

Hey! Are all you buggers fishing for free and not telling me!

Where are you all getting your free FPO bribery-goods, bait, end tackle, line, rods, reels, clothing, boats, electronics, chandlery, safety gear, training, trailer spares, moorings and or launching, fuel, food and beer from??!!!

I wanna know!

I am sure we'd all be willing to pay if we had exclusive access to stocks with bailiffs patrolling at all hours of day and night, restocking programmes and fines and confiscation for those infringing the rules........................I'd better dream on!!
