Rob Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 From the Echo:" The unique formation, known as Undulatus asperatus, was spotted over Castlepoint, Winton, at Bournemouth beach and thinning at Poole Quay.Proposed in 2009 as a separate classification by the founder of the Cloud Appreciation Society, the name translates roughly to roughened or agitated waves due to its resemblance to the sea. dogfishdave Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 Many thanks for all those that took part in the comp on a breezy Saturday, the wind was from the SW with a flood tide so was a bit lumpy but was fishable. Some stats for you. 41 anglers took part in 13 teams on 12 boats (3 boats dropped out on the day) two teams were on Anchorman from Hythe, a total of 25 species were caught with Fred Smith 1st catching 125 point worth (21 Species) 2nd was Brighty 99 points (18 species) Cobb's Quay berth holder with me on board, 3rd was Mike Fox 97 points, if you took part and would like to know how you finished give me a call in the marina. Not a single fish was weighed in for the specimen side of the comp. Many thanks to the Cobb's Quay Yacht Club for the food and hospitality. The charity is better off by just over £500 so a big thanks to all those that entered special thanks to Mike Fox and Fred Smith who donated there prizes for an auction to raise more funds for HOW. Thanks to the sponsors MDL Marinas, Navionics, Alderney Angling, and Christchurch Angling centre. sparky, Kingfisher 126, Ark and 5 others 8 Quote
