2006holmwood
Went to launch at Baiter this morning , trailer park has been invaded by travellers again. even been supplied with toilets. Not the usual time of year for a staycation . Hoping for a really cold snap now. Jim

Brian
Council can provide them with toilets and then afford to clean up after them, but they can't afford to redo the kids paddling pool at Hamworthy Park. Colin-58
Never mind the kids paddling pool, do you think they have checked that the engine "flushing water" is working as most of the time we need it ; it is not, just in case the visitors need to wash their clothes etc, and of course no doubt they will have advised them that the water from these taps is not of drinking quality it is ground water pumped. Yes sure that will have come up in the health and safety risk assessment as like the toilet, thats why they will be delivering Chilton spring water or near equivalent free of charge at you Dorset tax payers expense no doubt! 2006holmwood
No Rob,Turned straight round and came back. The water is on, its one reason they go there Gypo`s dont use the paddling pool so no need to fix. Colin it`s £15 a day now ,unless you tow a caravan😁 Jim
plaicemat
So, for the benefit of one of my neighbours who has a motor home, can one now park overnight at Baiter? This is a matter of annoyance to him that, up to present time, it has not been possible to park overnight. Unless you're a pikie, obviously.
