sparky Posted December 14, 2019 Report Posted December 14, 2019 Holes bay @ 11.30 today was very lively, lots of white horses. Interesting walk along the pontoon with those winds! Junior flounder league fished and ZERO FISH caught. Boats on F pontoon up to Fisheagle are looking ok. Stuie, gjb, Jim and 2 others 4 1 Quote
Jim Posted December 15, 2019 Report Posted December 15, 2019 Shame about the youngsters' comp. How we can attract younger people to take up fishing when there's nothing left for them to catch I don't know! Maybe we should call it Hoping not Fishing. Hoping that one day we'll catch something. gjb and sparky 1 1 Quote

Trouble is Jim that a few GREEDY individuals make money netting flounders to cut up for pot bait! Once they have killed all of the flounders off what will they start on next? They will be the first to scream that all of the fish are gone from the harbour! SIFCA appear to be letting this go on because I have personally rung them with my concerns about the netting.
