No !

I am allowed out it's just what happens if I'm brave enough. 🤣

No seriously,  I told Jacqui that I didn't want to go to the boat show this year.

I now know that I'll be available for the last weekend. Fri,  Sat,   or Sunday.

Sounds like a good day out for members.  :smileys-fish-465204:

So.

Has a decision been made yet?

Who's going & when?

I've started a list of who and when they can go however, I guess we will all be wanting to look at different things at different times so would suggest a meeting point for lunch/beer to meet up?

Lets start a list.

Martin - anyday

Graham - probably 21st, 22nd or 23rd.

Terry - most days, preferably not weekend.

Jim - Last 3 days  25th  26th  27th    But don't mind if I miss it.  Just sounded like fun with a bunch of us.

Sounds like a good boat share opportunity!

Hes seen something he likes .... a merry fisher 695 and just watsapped me this today without any prompting from me .....

"The thing we should discuss is how much do you think you would use it if I bought it and it was moored at Portland Marina

Would it give you more options for deeper sea fishing

Or days out with kids

Than the Orkney"

I replied ....

Id love to take it to the middle of the channel wrecks or alderney etc, but its far too good for what I do. You dont want fish guts on that sparkling deck!

a very capable boat and an area with lots of fishing opportunity, as you know from your recent success on your Turbot trip.

On our recent trips there seems to be a lot of life on the sounder, once you pass the Adamant bank.

2022 695 series 2 with 150 outboard with a mooring at Portland.

Im trying to get him to wait till he's been to the boatshow but he's being unusually impulsive.

The Marlin has the better cockpit for fishing and a side aisle for access to the Anchor no climbing, very important in my book.

Stand on a Merry fisher Marlin then stand on a Barracuda7

They look very similar but the Barracuda7 is FAR less tippy.  And not sure but I think the doorway is a tad higher.

I bumped my head going inside on the Marlin but not the Barracuda.
